The college campus is really big and an architectural beauty. The college was established in the colonial period. Every part of the campus is rich with history and culture. The college celebrates Bengali culture and language on a grand scale despite being an English medium college. There is no ragging in the campus. The seniors and staffs are friendly. No bullying is tolerated in the campus. The Sports Department of the college has produced players like Sourav Ganguli, hence does not need any introduction. The scope of co-curricular activities is maybe the best one can think of. There are societies for everyone with every kind of interests. Celebrities and notable persons keep on coming to the college and one can have greater scopes and connections in any industry from the college. Prominent entrepreneurs, actors, theatre artists, dancers, singers, players come to the college and do workshops (free sometimes). Whether you want a traditional profession or some artistic profession this is the best place to nurture your talent and learn and start your journey. The Academy award winner for best documentary in 2023 also is from this college.

The course is well organised so that students can get success in the competitive exams like JAM, CUET, and ISI entrance examination. The entry is dependent on the marks of the board examination. The weightage is on the grand total and marks obtained in the specific subject you want to study.

The faculty is very good and talented. They will help you individually and encourage you to pursue your own research. They are extremely friendly and approachable. They will help you if fall behind or want to know and work on topics beyond the course curriculum. Most of the professors are highly educated and have done Ph.D or masters from best universities and institutions in India. 90% of them have 10+ years' experience in the field and various connections worldwide which may help you.

The Placement Cell is outstanding. Most of the students from every department get placed and others pursue higher education. The Placement Cell also conducts numerous seminars and webinars for students. Prominent and successful business personalities teach students how to make a standout CV or how to do well in GD or interviews. In one word the placement cell is the best mentor you can have to start your professional journey.

I do not live in hostel. My friends live in hostel and according to them the hostel is ragging free and ok. There are different types of rooms according to one's financial plan. The food is normal as expected in a normal Bengali family.

The campus is large and there are really big classrooms and galleries. The common room is cool and there are books and games to pass your time. The library is one of the best in Kolkata and even exhibited in movies. There is a big main ground for cricket and football and sprints. There is a separate basketball court. There is Table Tennis room, a large canteen, and another ground. The architecture is a sight to behold. There is everything in the campus.

The campus life is something to remember. The students call themselves Xavierians. There are societies for everything, and top people and celebrities are associated with each society. The college is big, so the crowd is moderate. There are morning, day, and evening department in the college. The day department is only for commerce and boys. The evening department is exclusive for commerce. The day and the evening department are co-ed. There is always some fest going on in the campus. There are separate fests for each department and each club, and everyone knows about Xavotsav. Xavotsav is one of the best college fests in the east India. The budget, the guests, events, the crowd, and atmosphere is electrical. Every student must do some cocurricular activities and social works. The campus life is cinematic in one word.
