Presidency University has been a place of pride and elegance of Kolkata since 1817, a flag bearer of educational revolution and social reformation. We not only have the best possible faculties in the departments but along with this we have extremely enriched cultural and social enthusiasm. If anybody has a passion for sports and culture he/she will not feel aloof or less admired. Similarly the faculties are so helpful, there is no need of outside tuitions, just the classes are enough to ignite the knowledge of students, besides whenever a student faces any doubt, he/she can get help of any professor without any hesitation and they are always eager to help.

I am a B.Sc Statistics Hons. Student. Currently this is a four year program as per the new system. The entry in the course depends on the results of the PUBDET examination organised after the 12th boards exam. One needs to have Mathematics and English as his/her main subject in the class 12 in order to be eligible to apply for this course.

The faculty members are very helpful and teach every detail in order to help the students to know about the subject more. One really doesn't need any kind of extra tuition classes as the departmental classes are really good enough. They cover all the topics and clear any doubt the student has. In fact if one is interested in some extra project work or paper, they will guide in that path as well.

Yes, we do. But the Placement Cell in our department is after completion of the M.Sc program. More than 90% of the students who are interested in jobs do get a job in placement.

Yes, we do have hostel. There's a boys hostel as well as a girls hostel. I personally have not been to hostel so I don't have exact knowledge of what's the current situation there.

For the academic purpose we have the central library which has all the books one can possibly need in order to gather knowledge as well as to go deep in the course. Rather than this we have a arts library as well. For sports we have a big ground where football and cricket can be played, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a badminton court, and a sports room where one get the balls, bats, and other equipment to play.

We have a very fun and engaging campus life. One gets educational seminars, sports tournaments, as well as big cultural fests like Milieu, icon, ispat, and so on. We also have various societies like the debating society, film society, quiz clubs, etc. and for football lovers we have presidency mariners. In every fest we have sports week, cultural week to celebrate the student's skills in various fields including Chess, Cards, Carrom, and other indoor games.
