Big IT companies hire in bulk from this college

Overall Rating
This college was recently established in 2011 which is situated in Pune, Maharashtra. ABMSP’s Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering & Research is accredited from the other AAPCER campus. This college comes under Savitribai Phule Pune University which is the best University.
 

Academics Rating
I did my engineering in IT stream. The eligibility criteria to get into this college is 10+2 with PCM. You need to clear the MHT-CET exam with good score.
 

Faculty Rating
Though the college is recently built, the professors have good experience and taught us well. We had interactive learning sessions during the lectures which helped build a strong student-teacher bond. The faculty were all master holders. A few were PhD holders.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are not that good as compared to other engineering colleges in Pune. Only 15% of the students get placed in good companies. Rest have to struggle in the outside world for seeking jobs. Also, there are no placements for M.E. Students. Another thing is most of the companies' interview students only from IT field. Companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS pick up students in bulk and that’s the only hope for getting placed. The highest package received till date is 6LPA. There are no big companies for mechanical engineering students coming for placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There’s a hostel facility in this college. The food served in the hostel is good. The security guards are available 24/7 at the hostel entrance to keep a check on the incoming and outgoing students. Being in the college campus itself, it’s a boon for students coming from out of Pune to study engineering. But some students say that the hostel facility is bad. I think this is better than cooking for ourselves and paying heavy deposits and rent to the flat owners.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering is spread on a 10 acre land area. The classrooms have audio visual facilities to help students learn in a more effective manner. The best thing is that there’s Wi-Fi is every part of the campus which helped us save our mobile data. There’s also a central library and a separate reading hall. The other facilities include swimming pool, well-equipped gym facilitating fitness among students as well as good condition workshops and labs. We also had a sport stadium in the college campus. But sometimes the Wi-Fi network is poor.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is not that happening. I think it’ll take some more years to build contacts and organise fests on a larger scale. But, overall the look and feel of the campus is good. As the college building is new, it feels fresh to go to the college.
