GITAM Review

Overall Rating
Overall, GITAM is an average university with lots of pros and cons. I chose this university because all my family studied in here and thus I also joined here. Also because this was the popular choice of most of the students as this university has a pretty good reputation in here. If you’re someone studying in Andhra and want to study stress free, this is the one for you. This is the best choice for ones who want to study stress free.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are good, for a university taking nearly 3 lakh fee studies seem pretty dull though. Comparing other universities of this tier, GITAM is pretty back in this regard. Although the syllabus on paper is very good, I think implementation of this is pretty bad. Exams are made to be written easy to suit the students in here. Most of the students in here are pretty chill with little to no interest toward studies, so to suit those exams are made easy.
 

Faculty Rating
Not all faculties are good and also not all faculties are bad just like all other universities. Every faculty I have been to just reads aloud the presentation slides they have prepared or the material they have been provided with, which makes faculty seem bad but they have the knowledge. Most of the faculty here has high standard degrees.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are not great. Return of investment is very low for the fee you pay for years. Due to this many of the students go for higher studies. I also have a plan for the same.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a day scholar and we are not usually allowed into the hostel but I have been to hostel some times and rooms are pretty clean and good. They are cleaned every day.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is very good for a university which is almost 40 years old. The entire infrastructure is very well maintained. Almost all classrooms are completely air conditioned with projectors, 360 degree cameras built in it. They also look very fancy. Labs and other auditoriums are also very well maintained with very high standards.
 

Campus Rating
GITAM is probably providing best campus life. From conducting fests to conducting mental health care workshops, everything is very well coordinated and conducted. Ragging is also very less and whenever conducted, they are immediately stopped and they are well punished. There are security guards everywhere taking care of all the in campus security and safety of students. Girl students are much better taken care of.

    The campus life in GITAM is very vibrant as there is much freedom and no stress. Apart from this, good infrastructure, smart classrooms, experienced faculty, and best placements are some of the reasons for choosing this institute.     In overall according to me, GITAM is a pretty average university. Studies are moderate, extracurricular activities are good but placements and all are average. I chose this college because I prepped for military from vizag and I didn't get selected in it and nearby to my house, this is the best university for me to join.     Overall Rating
    Overall, GITAM is a good college and has a lot of positives and negatives. Positives are mostly about the campus life, infrastructure and college environment. Ragging is very less and student life is very good in here. Students get very good support from college, a mentor is appointed for every student, who helps them in different issues. I choose this college because I did not get a seat in CSE elsewhere, also I got a scholarship thus I joined here.... Read Full Review

    I choose this college because my father liked this college. I also got a scholarship of 50% which made me choose this college. It was also because I could go to home immediately if I wanted to since it was near to my house. Unlike other colleges, it is near to vizag city which is a major reason why most students join this college.     I had a great experience here by coming to this college as I learned many things by friends and faculty. As of now I am in 2nd year and 3rd semester and I have learned many things in this short term. The faculty here are also well skilled and professional. Many people suggested me this college before taking admission and my cousins are also graduated from here. The people who come here will have an amazing experience .
