It is one of the 5 completely public IIITs. It offers wide range of programs in various fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics and Computing, Electrical and Electronics, and Management courses. It has a very flexible curriculum and is on par with the National Education Policy 2020.

There are different types of courses in our college like pure Bachelors degree or an Integrated Post Graduation with Masters of Technology or Masters in Business Administration. My program is Integrated Masters of Technology in Information Technology. A student can get into any of the programs offered in my college only through Competitive examinations like JEE, GATE etc. This course offers you 2 degrees in a period of 5 years. It is very helpful for people who are really interested in completing their Masters in India without spending an extra year. The course curriculum also includes new age topics and is constantly updated based on real world standards.

The faculty is of really high standards. They are highly qualified professionals in their fields who hold Ph.D in their fields from renowned institution like IITs, NITs, and IISc etc. All of them have published various Research Papers and some of them are authors of books. Some even have patents on their name. Their style of teaching is unique. Each has their own style. They have in depth knowledge about their topics and fields.

Yes, there’s an active placement cell in our college which strives hard to provide its students with good career opportunities and it has been pretty successful in its work. They have good connections with top MNCs and the students do bag some great offers every year.

There are 5 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. They have recently increased the intake by opening new branches in UG and M.Tech levels as well. The hostels are kind of old but a new hostel is also being planned which can house 500 students. The mess is different in each hostel. The girl's will have to stay in the same hostel for their entire college study while the boys will have to keep changing hostels. There are various options for selecting rooms like 1-4 seaters in different years. Mess food is very good and balanced in terms of nutrition.

It is a completely Government controlled college and public in nature. The infrastructure is on par with other government colleges like IITs, NITs etc. There are all relevant amenities like 2 Lecture Halls, Theatres, Academic Blocks, Administration blocks, Learning Resource Centre, and Convention Centre. There are different blocks for every department and all these blocks are interconnected with one another through long pathways. There are other amenities like Biodiversity parks, Sports Complex with good equipment for gym and other sports etc. There’s an Open Air Theatre as well and a huge football ground as well.

Our college has many clubs which actively participate in their regular fields like AASF which is the Coding and Programming Club, GDSC which is the Google Developer Students Club, Rotary Club which actively participates in humanitarian activities, SGM or Sarv Gyan Movement which aims to educate underprivileged children, Manchatantra which is the dramatics club, Beathoppers which is the dance club, Uthaan which is the media and reporting club and the IEEE Student Branch. There are different fests like Celestia, Aurora etc. for Cultural fests. Overall campus life is very good.
