Review on West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata

Overall Rating
Because it's a professional degree program which have benefits all over world and also having good job opportunities through this course. Also our college has an accreditation of ICAR so students have their good future by fisheries. This institute provides best teachers and good practical opportunities to know the fishery field well and have job benefits in both private and government.
 

Academics Rating
This under graduation course bachelor of fishery sciences has 4 years duration and for entry students must complete their Higher Secondary (12th) and if anyone wants then he came by competes in ICAR AIEEA UG Exam. And by 12th class result students can admit here on merit list basis. Students can come here and admit and complete UG degree also masters and Ph.D degree here because this is one of best colleges in India for fisheries.
 

Faculty Rating
In faculty all the professors are very helpful, they teach us very kindly. They help us in our practical and others. All professors are giving class by online and offline mode means by projectors are there in the classrooms and they teaching us audio visually so that is left a great impact on our student life. Also practical and field visit are helping us in fishery field.
 

Placement Rating
Placement means there are so many feeds companies are come to the faculty and take interview of willing graduate and post graduate and Ph.D students and offering jobs. This is very helpful for students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostel for boys and girls separately. Hostel Life always so enjoyable and hostels are too good. Facilities like all the furniture are there. Bed, table, chair, wooden rack, light, and fan facilities are good. Cleaning is also done weekly.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus academic blocks have separate departments. There are 10 departments in our fishery faculty and each department has their separate academic rooms, seminar rooms, separate laboratory, and others. And for UG students there are separate classroom which have projectors and air conditioners in separate rooms.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus Life is good and mainly it is good that know the fishes and their biology are really different from others. The faculty is not much crowded UG, PG, and Ph.D students are there. Faculty has different units like sports, culture unit, magazine units, etc. Our annual sports are held once a year and cultural meet also held and Saraswat and Biswakarma Pujo are held here. Holi celebration is also enjoyable in this university.

    I am a student of B.F.Sc 4th year of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. It is very good institution, teachers are well educated and helpful. Every year at least 10-15 students get placement in various fish feed and fish products producing companies. Students can also appear for JRF exam and get a chance to study in the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, BOMBAY.     Firstly our institution is ICAR Allied Institute that provide 4 year professional graduation degree program. It provides a great knowledge and interest about fishes and underwater animals of this world.     I am currently BFSc 4th year student. Our university is located in Belgachia. This University is accredited by ICAR and it is the only government facilitated fishery college in West Bengal.     Our institute is well reputed in the west Bengal. And it is basically ICAR allied institute provide B.F.Sc, dairy technology and veterinary degree. After 12th I choose this institute to know the fishes and their life so according to higher secondary marks get admission to this institute.
