Insights from PMEC Berhampur

Overall Rating
The college is situated in Sitalapalli region which is 12 km away from Berhampur railway station. It has a very huge campus with greenery everywhere and the environment is also eco-friendly and peaceful. To get admission here a student must give JEE mains exam and secure a good rank in it and then he can join here through OJEE counselling.
 

Academics Rating
The academics is very good. As this college comes under Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, the semester exam is also conducted by the same. It also contains a large central library which has been recently built for the students so that they can read in a peaceful environment. It also contains a large collection of academic books
 

Faculty Rating
Here, the faculty members are well educated with all required experiences but there are a few teachers who are not so approachable. They conduct the classes regularly and the attendance is also very strict here. All the doubts of the students are cleared at the right place at the right time. All the faculty members provide detailed notes which help the students during exams.
 

Placement Rating
The placement quality is very poor and needs improvement.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel infrastructure is good but food needs improvement.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of my college is very good; it contains a huge statue of Gajapati Parala Maharaja in front of the main building. The main building consists of 5 floors; it contains different floors for different branches. The road areas are full of greenery and it also has a large field for daily exercise.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life here is very good because it also consists of many tourists places nearby. For example, the Gopalpur sea beach is about 30 km away from PMEC Berhampur. It also has Tara Tarini temple nearby. These places can be visited by friends in groups and can be enjoyed. The college also conducts induction programme for freshers.

    Overall Rating
    This is the best college if you live in Berhampur. Its fee is very low as compared to other colleges. There is no ragging in the college. There is hostel available and everything is manageable. If your financial condition is not up to the mark for Engineering degrees, choose this college because I got this government college despite my low JEE Mains rank. If you haven't got very excellent rank in the entrance exam you can choose this college.... Read Full Review
