Aliah University Review

Overall Rating
Good University. Faculty is very good which makes it very helpful in studies and exams are also conducted fairly. I choose this institute because of its very minimalistic fee structure and good environment. Semester exams are conducted every 4-5 months. It provides very good studying and social environment in heart of city of Kolkata.
 

Academics Rating
Admission is given through its own internal exam AUAT and also through WEBJEE or JEE main. I took admission through AUAT. Application form starts from around may month and after that Exam is taken in its college in Kolkata whose subjects consists of physics, chemistry, Maths, English, and Islamic studies. Those who have done 12th or diploma are eligible to apply.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very helpful and friendly. They will help you if you are somewhat backed up in your studies. Teaching style is also very good which helps a lot. Although Bengali is sometimes used in between lectures so it can create slight difficulty. Overall all faculties are very good in their own right.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our institute. If you are aiming for campus placements they will be very helpful and provide you with guidance and materials for that.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have hostel facility provided to us by the university which is quite helpful so that students can stay near and have to travel less to come. Hostel infrastructure is very good and economical. Many sports events are organised in hostel ground like cricket matches, football matches, etc. Mess is also available to its residents.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our university is very expensive and has a large infrastructure layout. All departments have its own floors and blocks to help locate our classes easily. Labs are quite modern and equipment are also very modern. Our library is also very big so that can also be helpful to take books and read it which are there for vast range of topics and subjects.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is good and if you are study oriented, it provides very good environment. Infrastructure is good. Sports events are organised and also students are taken to other states for sports events. Fests are not organised by the institute but student unions sometimes make some activities happen like a concert.

    I got admission in this university in 2023 September. I got admission here by giving the entrance exam which is taken by the university. After giving the entrance exam the results came out and I got a rank with which I got selected here. This is a well developed university for the weaker section of the students.... Read Full Review
