Saveetha Engineering College B.Tech Review By Shehan Shajahan

I joined this college 8 months ago. Since then it had been a very memorable experience out here. Let it be the infrastructure, quality of education, faculties, sports, academics, etc it was really great. The main highlight of this college is the pleasant environment. I enquired one of my cousins who studies in this college and he had really good review about this college. Even he himself got placement last year in a good company. Apart from academics, the college also has all the resources for students needs. There are different canteens with good varieties of food items, high quality barber shop, grocery shop, pharmacy, print shop, etc. The calm and elegant atmosphere of the college is the main highlight which I felt personally. Students from different states come here to study so we are getting a golden opportunity to get connected with a lot of people around our country. Most of the faculties here are friendly and really good. The ambience and the quality of classrooms and labs are very high. It was a golden opportunity for all of us to study here. Our college really concentrates on the engineering syllabus and provides quality education. There are lots of trees and flowers in the college. Also there are lots of stone benches made around the college for students. Transport facilities are available here. Overall till now personally it was a really great experience for me in this college. I feel completely satisfied to have joined this college.

The college offers different courses and especially for B.Tech branch there are lots of courses available here. We need a descent cut off rank to join this college. For Tamil Nadu students they provide great counseling opportunities whereas for other state students they only offer 5% which is very low and a very disappointing factor. I personally has opted B.Tech AIML due to my interest in this field. I came in management seat even though I had a good cut off of 175 in CBSE 12th.

There are lots of faculties in this college for each department most of them have Ph.D degree. Lot of good professors and teachers can be seen in this college. They are mostly from Tamil Nadu. Everyone is really supportive. Most of them are very friendly while some are not. Their teaching skills are good. Some teachers really put great efforts to teach and it’s really good for students to catch up with the topics. There are lots of faculties and slots for even a single subject.

Yes, our college has a placement cell. This college is having one of the best placement cells in the whole state. Many companies yearly contact and visit this college for hiring students. Many students are getting placed every year.

Rooms are good and average for all. Cupboards, tables and chairs are provided for each student. Room space is good for single rooms and its little small for non single rooms. Food is provided daily 4 times with different menu. Food taste and quality is below average and they need to improve it.

This college is having one of the best infrastructures over the whole state. 2 Blocks are there for engineering department. The ambience and the quality of classrooms and labs are very high. It’s really awesome. It was a golden opportunity for all of us to study here. The library is really on another level as it has great ambience. There are a lot of trees and flowers in the college. Buses to all parts of Chennai are also available here.

My life in this campus since I joined was really good and memorable. Everything which is needed by students is available here. Academics wise, sports wise, activities wise, and talent wise our college is doing really good. They provide a good platform to showcase our talent as they are organising various events consistently for students.
