Accurate Institute of Management and Technology MBA Review By Nikhil Mahajan

AIMT is a below-average college in terms of education but at least they have their sources to get us placed. The college is particular when it comes to participation in activities which were anyways few and the attendance in MBA was compulsory. The faculty wasn’t that great and the complete picture wasn’t as lucrative as it seems from outside. Hardly any industrial visit or programs related to training. Guest lectures were conducted regularly and my hero Anand Mahindraji took some guest lectures and talked about the potential that Greater Noida has. Motivational speakers and sometimes stand-up comedians were invited to keep us going. However, the course lacked clarity as it was all theory that we were taught and fortunately banking was an optional subject that I took as I always wished for working in a bank. If you are from a mediocre UG background you may find life tough here. The management was pathetic as there was a student cell where we could lodge the issues but not a single one got resolved.

The classes were mandatory and daily 8 hours classes had to be attended without excuses. Initially, it looked good as the classrooms were good and the student’s introduction went on for a while. After a month or so though the things started getting worse as completing the syllabus was the only agenda and the speed with which the lectures were conducted the syllabus always finished before time. Then we used to have a lecture in the common hall praising the faculty that they have helped students and all. At times, I had to convince myself that I am a management student and this is how we learn managerial skills. In the name of projects, we were given group case studies. The presentation was minimal and the college in a way taught us nothing exceptional.

Poor in terms of knowledge as they had experience enough but still lacked the salt that a professor of their stature should possess. We had issues with most of them and lodged numerous complaints against them but all of no use as the faculty has management backing. The number of faculty for MBA was 15-16. Not enough I guess but the only good thing about the teachers was that they were more punctual than the students and used to come and read the prompter.

I am glad to review this part as the college’s placement department is taken care of. There were enough companies of various domains that had their eligibility criteria. Some asked questions while some gave us a mock paper to solve. From the banking sector, IDFC First, Bandhan, and Axis Bank were the main recruiters. Banks took the most students from our batch and got a decent offer letter. 7-8 Lakhs was the average and the placement rate was also good. Good CGPA was required as before the interview process all your academic details will be scanned by the recruiting company.

The college hostel was inside the campus and was beautifully built. It wasn’t long ago when the hostel was built and therefore all the latest amenities like lift, AC rooms, and great furniture made the room loveable. Pure drinking water, geezers, and Wi-Fi were available at the campus. The hostel students had the access to cafeteria and library 24*7. The food provided by the hostel was good as it boasted a North Indian menu. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets were served in the dining hall. The girl’s hostel fees are slightly higher as the rooms are bigger than that of the boy’s hostel and all the rooms at the campus are 2-seaters.

The college is not that huge in terms of area but the college building is laced with all the modern facilities. The lobby was cleaned twice or thrice daily and always looked tip-top. The library of the college was awe-inspiring as the e-book concept was launched and we, therefore, had the facility to access the same from even our hostel rooms. The college has a student corner and a recreation room that has some sporting arrangements and a well-designed gymnasium. The college canteen was always busy as the people who didn’t liked coffee fell in love with the coffee that was available in the cafeteria. The cafeteria was spacious and hygienic. The infrastructure is not that big but whatever it is, it is one of the best.

I went in with a lot of expectations that the college will be happening as a lot has been spoken about the college. Sadly it wasn’t meant to be as there were more Poojas organized during my term than the events. Sports day was one of the most decorated events of the college as we had Manish Sisodiya as the chief guest. Since I was the mischievous kind I played pranks on some of my teachers and fellow students and all were cool about it. The atmosphere at the campus was always good as the students were chilled out and so were the teachers. If the faculty knew how to teach and the college can arrange some proper training programs for us Accurate can be a contender for becoming the top college.
