Review of NIT, Silchar

Overall Rating
NIT Silchar a very good institute with a huge campus area. The college faculty is friendly and there are many clubs like Machine learning club, Robotics clubs and many more so that students can develop skills apart from their core subject. Apart from studies students will also get many opportunities to take part in cultural fests and sports.
 

Academics Rating
I am a Computer Science student of 1st year in Silchar. The requirements to get into NIT Silchar, one must score good percentile in JEE MAINS entrance exam, probably 99 percentile for open category student. The motive to choose this path is to develop skills and get into a good company.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members who are teaching are experienced and have a good grip in their field. They are friendly to the students and Ph.D scholars are available to clarify doubts of students, but most of the faculty members used to speak in Hindi which may be a problem to some students. The teachers also help the students in developing their personality.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in our colleges which helps students to get internship opportunities and also provide placements to all skilled students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our college has residential facilities which include 8 boys’ hostels and 4 girl’s hostels and there is also a guest house for parents. Hostels are very old and every room is provided with a LAN connection, table, bed and a cupboard.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus consists of three academic blocks in which one block is for management studies and 1st year students and second block is for second year students and other one is for third year and fourth year students. There are many other buildings such as library, sports complex, admin building, etc.

    The overall experience in NIT Silchar is not bad. I chose this Institute because it has the sports facilities and it is in my interest. The natural environment is appreciable.     National Institute of Technology, Silchar has one of the most beautiful and lush green campus across all NIT's in India. Infrastructure, faculty, facilities, academics, and classrooms are very well maintained. There is the campus of 625 acres with many different things around the whole institute.     My overall experience at the institute is far better than average. I chose this particular institute because of the NITian tag, NIRF ranking, and its huge campus size. It is an institute of national importance with good alumni network and helpful seniors.     NIT Silchar is a very beautiful institute. It covers an area of over 600 acres. It is situated in Silchar, Assam. I have gained experience in many things and learned many things after studying here. The surrounding is good and clean.     Overall Rating
    It is a very good experience to be in NIT Silchar. To be honest, I got this college as per my JEE Main rank. The overall placement is good here with an average package of 24 LPA for CSE and 18 LPA for ECE. My main objective while choosing was to look for good placements and a good overall academic life. I am definitely not regretting to be here. The campus is too big and really beautiful to explore. That's why I would suggest studying here, if your rank supports it.... Read Full Review
