Student review of Kalasalingam

Overall Rating
Basically I joined this college based on some reasons they are main thing is fee, which is lower compared to other big universities like Satyabhama and VIT, and based on my rank and marks I got the 25% of scholarship here. Which made my college fee 93k per year and I got some hometown and intermediate friends here so I joined this college.
 

Academics Rating
For entering into this college you Just need 60% in PCM subjects but for getting scholarship here you need 85+ percentage in PCM or you need a better rank in JEE exams. This scholarship details vary for every year so please contact the college members through their website. Ask about the scholarship details and take your decision.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty here have done their PG and some are even done their PhD also but they don't have enough knowledge for teaching subject. I don't even know how they have completed their PhDs. Most of the faculty use elementary English here they don't even speak proper English. I'm very dissatisfied with the faculty here.
 

Placement Rating
Yes we do have a placement cell here and this really helps to the students for getting placed in companies. If you try a little bit then you can get placed here. But due to the recession period this year out of 700+ students only 240 are placed as of now. This will get better for the next years. Don’t worry.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facility is quite decent here I would suggest going for the Bhagat Singh hostel here though it is a strict hostel the facilities and rooms are good there. But I don't recommend you to join the hostel if you are not a hosteller before. Because you have to suffer for their food, you have to eat sambar and spice less food here. And it doesn't taste good. I will suggest you to take a room outside the campus with your friends.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is not at all good here all are the old buildings here only the Library block will have a good infrastructure here. And 11th block also good here for the academics. And other than that all are the worst. You have to sit in a very old iron benches and some of the classrooms doesn't even have a projector here. I'm very disappointed with the college infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life will be good for those who make more friends and join the clubs and participate in events. Here a lot of things happen all the time all are club events and it will be conducted for the individual departments itself. Here don't expect the big cultural events in the college because they don't happen and you will be disappointed.

    My overall experience at this institute was not bad. This university brokers had came to my college for registrations when am in my intermediate 2nd year. After their presentation about this university attracts me so I have registered by paying the fee required after 3 months they called me to join in university. The main thing is there were all telugu people only there I came here to improve communication skills by speaking with other state people but the scene is different here.... Read Full Review

    I had a great experience at my college. It has suitable facilities and is now accredited by NBA A++ with overall 36th rank in NIRF. I am pursuing B.Tech CSE with AIML which has a good future in software industries. It is a deemed to be university so we don't have strict rules.... Read Full Review

    I choose B.Tech computer science and engineering at Kalasalingam University, Madurai, and Tamilnadu. I have chosen this campus because of good reputation of college. Pleasant nature located nearby by hills good nature. This university has good nirf ranking and has NAAC grade A++. Kalasalingam University is good at academics. There is 100% placement.     I joined Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education college in the Year 2021. I chosen AIML Stream in CSE in BTech. The College seems to be good in infrastructure and placement category. But in terms of celebrations, the College is worse compared to other colleges. Many people in our College are from AP and Tamil Nadu.... Read Full Review
