This college is not anywhere near a metro city so it is not really popular for its infrastructure but for its capability to place students in renowned companies through campus placements. AOT has a reputation for its insane placements and also strict discipline among students. College is very strict with attendance as it expects students to have at least 75% overall and also prohibits students to roam around in the campus at class time. At exam time college get way more strict than usual so it is my personal advice not to try any unfair means as they are dealt with strictly. But overall college is nice as it prepares you with proper guidance for the placement as well as academics.

Students need to have an eligible West Bengal Joint rank to get enrolled for B.Tech in computer science. The course provides mostly the fundamental core concepts, not the technologies actually used in the industries but it clears the basic idea though. Being in the computer science department also helps in the campus placements as most of the recruiting companies are IT companies.

There are enough highly educated faculty who help you through the course curriculum given by MAKAUT. Even for students with backlogs, the faculty provides additional classes to help them clear it. There are also sufficient amount of resources provided by the faculty to score great marks. Faculty even provides dedicated Question Bank for each and every internal exam which I personally found very useful.

College has a dedicated placement cell to take care of placement related affairs. Considering current job market college provides decent placement. Companies like TCS, IBS, Persistent, KPIT etc come for the recruitment process each year. All students having minimum GPA of 6.5 get opportunities in the recruitment process. College separately provides additional training for placements along with course curriculum. The package offered is not too high (ranging from 3.5 to 10 LPA) but it certainly ensures placement for above 90% of the students which is quite brilliant I believe.

College provides hostels for both male and female students in separate buildings. It does have additional facilities required to accommodate the students as well.

AOT offers huge campus with libraries, auditorium and IT labs. For people interested in sports there is a basketball court and also football and cricket fields which are regularly used. Student canteen is there as well. But as the college is situated at a bit rural part named Adisaptagram, it sometimes get difficult to have much benefits outside the college campus.

AOT even though is very strict with academics and discipline; it certainly provides students have their fun as well. The cultural fest (Arcadia) is held each year being a very exciting event. Tournaments regarding sports like cricket, basketball are also organized from time to time. There are also groups like Students Chapter who conduct certain interesting events for us to participate in it. Overall It is quite a fulfilling experience.
