AKGEC: A great start to your Engineering Career

Overall Rating
Hey so I will start from the beginning. I am a fresher at this college. Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is among top 5 colleges in Uttar Pradesh. I got admission through AKTU counseling that is conducted on the basis of JEE rank. I opted for ECE branch since I have a deep interest in this field. You can choose any of the courses here. AKG has a great reputation among all other private colleges in NCR region.
 

Academics Rating
Academics here are decent. The syllabus is not really difficult. First semester might either be Physics, Electrical, Programming (PPS), Mathematics 1, EVS and second semester subjects might be Chemistry, Electronics, Mechanical, Mathematics 1, Soft skills.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties here are really supportive. They all are Ph.D qualified. They have immense knowledge about their respective fields. They all have their own way of teaching. Some prefer blackboard, some prefer Smart board and so some prefer teaching with projectors. But at the end their motive is that all students should get the topic properly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes we have a placement cell in our college which looks after the placement. Placement percentage is 80% here even at the time of recession. Various tech companies come here for placement.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes we have 3 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls. Hostels are decent. Hostel life is amazing. If you get admission here you should definitely take a hostel for you.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college invests a lot on infrastructure. We have specific block for specific branch. We have Mechanical block, ECE block, CSIT block, Civil block and many more. We have 4 different canteens in every block and a common cafeteria inside the campus for college students and staffs. Recently the college is investing on a new block which NLT Block.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is awesome at AKGEC. We have all sorts of groups here. There are a lot of societies. Tech society being my favorite one. But one of the drawbacks is that there is no college fests in AKGEC. Seriously 0 fests. We have different clubs which engage with the students and perform at different colleges and also at zonal level and national level. AKGEC has one of the best environments.

    This college has a biggest campus in all the Delhi NCR colleges and has a pretty descent faculty which is very supportive and well-educated. It has lot of greenery and tees which provide you fresh air in the city like Ghaziabad.     This college provides the best coding culture by envisioning its students with their vibrant computer science clubs. The results of hackathon participation and outcomes are also great. All the faculties are helpful and experienced. College life wise, it is a bit moderate as you'll have no time to spare as there will be sessionals and university exams throughout the semester.
