Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Review By Swasti Kumari

I am a first year undergraduate student at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology pursuing Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence. I have taken admission in this college through AKTU counseling. I have heard about this college from one of my friend who is in second year now. So my experience about this college is good. As we know it is a private engineering college so from starting only I do not have very high expectations from this college as I have seen in some YouTube videos of NITs and IITs. I have chosen this college because of the location of this college as it is located in Greater Noida so it is a place with lots of educational institutes and many student groups reside here. Also the fee of this college is higher than many others engineering college present here but as per my information our placement scenarios are also good as compared to other engineering colleges. I know this is a private college so we should not depend on college for placement and work on skills development. Academic wise I think NIET is good as in my first year five subjects are there and our faculties are also decent. They have proper knowledge of their respective subjects. So if a student wants to have a good education on theoretical subjects he/she could take admission here. I also want to mention that there will be a good amount of workload on you so be prepared while taking admission here as their will be a lots of classes, assignments, projects and exams. There are many other good branches that are offered by this college like core CSE and CSE with many other specializations like Data Science, Internet of Things, AIML, etc. You can also opt for some other good branches like Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Biotechnology and more. You can take admission in this college after passing your 12th standard. You can either take direct admission or get admission through entrance test / counseling. This college is also a very good pharmacy institute. The fee of first year for B.Tech is 175600 rupees and from second year it reduces to 150000 rupees. If you want to have good knowledge about engineering subjects you must take admission in this college. Our college also teaches us programming language from first semester only. They conduct a two week workshop for programming language and they made it compulsory for every student to attend all the workshop classes. Overall academic wise I found this college quiet decent than any other colleges here I have heard about. I hope this review will help you in choosing this college in terms of academics facilities.

I am in first year and I have to study five subjects and according to me all the faculty provided by our college is really good. They have deep knowledge of their subject and they teaches us really us well. They also solve our doubts on the current topics taught by them. They also tell us to ask any other problems related to study during break time. I want to tell that some of the teachers are really strict as they want every student of the class to be fully disciplined. Mostly faculty of the college has good experience of their subjects. Some of them have experience of almost 20 years. As I have heard from college that from second year teachers will not be that much responsible for students as they are now. I think teachers should be responsible as they are with first year because not every student is self capable of studying by their own also we have submitted a large amount of college fee so it is the duty of the college to support us properly.

Yes NIET Greater Noida has a placement cell. It is really helpful for the students studying here as it brings various organizations to our college and offers internship and jobs to deserving students. Our college also offers opportunities to students to take part in various competitions in other countries. They support students who have their own creative ideas and the students who are really dedicated to excel in any particular field. Overall if a student’s is dedicated to get placed with good package with proper hard work and guidance they can achieve that.

Yes NIET Greater Noida has residential facilities. Boys and girls both hostels are provided in the campus only. The hostels are really spacious and there are three seaters room available. Mainly basement and ground floor rooms are allotted to first year students. And they are shifted to other floors in next year. The food provided in hostel mess is of good quality but taste is average. There is different menu for everyday.

Our college has two campuses one is old NIET and the other is new NIET. First year students of B.Tech attend their classes on the new campus building. New campus building is not so big but it is sufficient for first year students. There is a big basketball court and a big ground in the new campus. Greenery is also maintained properly in our campus. Talking about the old campus it is quite larger than the first year campus. There is a separate building for B.Tech, B.Pharm and MBA course in our campus. There are five blocks divided in our college for different classes of academics and lab purposes. New campus building was established in year 2011 so it is quite good. Smart boards are available in every class but in old campus till now no smart board is available only projectors are there. I have heard that now smart board will also be made available till the end of this year. There is different lab for students to enhance their practical skills like idea lab, IOT lab and more. Overall the infrastructure of my college is quite decent.

Our campus life is good. We have different fest celebrated in our campus. One of the main fest is Jagmag which is celebrated for 2 days every year. Our college also celebrates Dandiya night. Since this college has two campus one for first year students and other for all other students so this does not give first year students a chance to interact with their seniors. The main campus of our college is good even though it is not a big campus. The environment is really good. There is a big ground of our college where we can sit in free time with our friends and enjoys free time in college. There are two separate hostels for boys and girls. Overall college campus life is good.
