Nit Rourkela is much better than any other private colleges in India. It is central funded institute.This college is one of the prestigious institute in India. Particularly it is in top 5 NIT's in India. In our college there will be an academic flexibility, 2 fests in every semester, professors are very helpful and experienced. When compared to private colleges, fees are not that much high, so many clubs are there to explore and enhance our skills. There are all type of games to play which gives refreshment and the college timings are also student friendly.

I am a student in NIT Rourkela pursuing B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Class size is 86. To get admission in this college we have to take MPC in inter and give an entrance test named JEE MAINS which is very important to get admission in to any NIT's. My motive to enroll in this branch is my interest in metallurgy.

Our professors are very experienced and almost all the professors have done Ph.D's and published projects. They are very helpful in clarifying the doubts and clearing out the tough concepts. They teach in such a way that every student can understand the concepts; they explain the concepts by relating with daily life incidents.

Yes, there are hostels. Hostels have 2 seater rooms which are comfortable for stay.

There are different branch blocks in one academic building. There are two lecture avenues where classes are held.

There are so many clubs which are used to explore and enhance our skills. There are many fests which will be conducted in our college with different themes like cultural, technical, sports etc. Other facilities include GYM, Table Tennis, Badminton Court, and Kabaddi.
