Review on Techno India University

Overall Rating
The college is at Salt Lake, Kolkata which is very well connected with the rest of the city via road and metro transport. The college has friendly faculty members and quite an easy admission procedure. The college also has good placement opportunities for the students. The college has different clubs also social engagement.
 

Academics Rating
The course provides great insight on the topics from the books and also helps in relating them with the real world. For admissions, the students can directly apply through the college’s website, but it will be preferable if the students can visit the college along with their guardians. Class 12th marks should be above around 70% for a smooth admission process.
 

Faculty Rating
The college faculty members are very friendly and have a very lenient way of teaching. They adapt their teaching style on the basis of the requirements and capabilities of the students. All the faculty members are Ph.D holders and are deeply educated in their respective fields. They also organize doubt clearing sessions for the students.
 

Placement Rating
The training and placement department of the college does an excellent job at making the students ready for the world at large. Many companies come to provide jobs to the students. The placement percentage is around 70%.
 

Hostel Rating
I do not stay in the college hostels, so I do not know much about them. But I have heard that they provide three course meals everyday and proper water supply is also there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Even though the college has quite a small campus, yet it provides proper number of utilities like lights, benches and fans to the students. The college also has adequate number of well maintained labs for the streams who have lab work. The college library also issues books to the students. Free Wi-Fi is also available for all.
 

Campus Rating
The college has several clubs for the students to be engaged in different co-curricular activities. There are clubs for photography, drama, literary, etc. The college also organizes a fest every year. Several camps are also organised by the college. The college also demonstrates different regional festivities at a smaller scale.

    My experience at Techno India University as a student has been average overall. Some aspects of the university were worth commending, such as fests, extracurricular activities, student-faculty interaction, and campus life. However, the infrastructure is not advanced, especially for disciplines requiring wet lab training. Although, the university is making tremendous efforts in introducing Artificial Intelligence.     My overall experience in TIU is very good. We have a very good and balanced campus life. Our faculties are very friendly and helpful.     Overall Rating
    Place: Salt Lake Sector V is an Automotive zone. Metro, Bus, Taxi are available to reach there. Metro takes 20 min from sealdah and charges 20 rupees only. Instead of taking the bus from Sealdah you can take it from Bidhan Nagar to reach there early and it takes only 15 rupees. Infrastructure: In the Techno India Group, Sector V's campus has the best infrastructure.     Overall, obviously other renowned college's degree has more value but techno India will provide you with best in class grooming. For my subject the hands on lab experience were good.
