According to my point of view Odisha University of Technology and Research is a vast college, covering a wide area of approximately 100 acres. Our Honorable Chief Minister Mister Naveen Pattnaik funded college to improve the infrastructure and he said that OUTR will be like IIT'S in the future 5 years. In the upcoming years, various new opportunities will be provided to the students.

The college offers a variety of courses like B.Tech in Computer Science (Artificial and Machine Learning), Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering (AI Robotics), Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology, and Textile Engineering. Several other courses like B.Sc, Integrated M.Sc, BCA, MCA and many more are also available here. The main thing is that the college is providing best education in lowest fees possible and scholarships of minimum 20k rupees is also provided to the students every year under government scholarship schemes.

The faculties in the college are very supportive. And here the doubts of each and every student are cleared by faculties. All the faculties are well educated and their explanation of each concept is just awesome. Many faculties are IITians and NITians also. For each topic we students get a specialized teacher. There are 40-50 professors in a single department.

Placement is like good in OUTR, like a Government college. OUTR has also set a good image in people’s mind. In the year 2022-23, the highest on campus placement was of 44.8 LPA and every year it is increasing drastically.

Honestly saying, there is a lack of hostel facility there are only 2 boy’s hostel namely RHR (Ramanujan Hall of residence) and APJ (Abdul Kalam Hall of residence) and 2 girl’s hostel KHR and KCHR (Kalpana Chawla Hall of Residence). As the college is in developing stage, so many hostel are lined up in construction in the upcoming years but one can reside in the private hostels near the college for 1 year and by the second year the college hostels will be ready to use.

The infrastructure is quite good. All the departmental areas are situated in one side and hostels are situated in another part of the campus. Currently construction of auditorium is going on in the college and after that many more construction projects like shopping complexes, hostels, swimming pools, indoor sports court and more are lined up. There is a canteen in the campus that serves fresh food to the students.

One will get an amazing campus life of 4 or 5 years depending upon the course. The amazing grand fest of OUTR "X-tasy" is one of the best fest I have ever seen. Many other fests are also their like Zarzuela, Tech Fests and The Engineers Cup (for sports enthusiasts). There are different clubs for student’s engagement, one can go and join the club according to their interests. "Arpeggio" the music club of outer, "TDA" the dance club of OUTR and many other clubs like drama club, designing club, photo factory club are also there in the college. Almost every day there is an event going on in our college, this college is just awesome.
