This University is well known for quality education and better faculties. The Ravenshaw University performs academically better in Odisha; this is the reason due to which I have chosen this university. My overall experience at this university is very good. The best thing about this University is that the fees of the courses and hostel are reasonable.

I have taken integrated B.Ed as my 4 - year’s course in Ravenshaw University. The self financing courses for ST and SC students are affordable because Odisha government is providing them scholarships. To get admission into this University, for general courses like BA, B.Sc, B.Com etc. one must pass 12th class in any discipline with 60% marks. In self financing courses minimum requirement for admission is 70% marks. This program is better for those who want to go in teaching line. Here, various opportunities are offered to the students, that is why I have taken admission in this University.

In this University faculties are highly qualified and experienced. Most faculties are NET and JRF holders and some are PhD holders. In every department there are 10-12 faculties, professors and assistant professors. The teaching style is very good and the best thing is, they try to engage the class first and then they start teaching. They are very experienced and are able to understand the point of view of students easily.

Yes, we have a placement cell in Ravenshaw University. The companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and more visit the University and take interview then after they recruit the candidates. It really helps the students in further growth and development.

Yes, we have residential facilities inside the campus. The campus has 13 hostels for boys and girls. Inside the hostel, we have mess and free wifi facility. In addition to this, a hostel library, study room and gardens are also present in the hostel. In boy’s hostels gym system has been provided for fitness. Each room can accommodate 4 students. Meal quality is decent and manageable. Overall the hostels are good.

The roads are connected through different departments and academic blocks. The University has different buildings for different departments and hostels. Free wifi, smart board, departmental libraries are present in each building.

Overall campus life is very good at this University. The campus has a wide area for which the crowd is very less. Different clubs are there. Various events like seminars, competitions, debate, drama, dance and more are organised in the university from time to time. Annual function and various festivals are also organised here.
