Utkal University - A Good College

Overall Rating
Utkal University is the first and only University in odisha which got NAAC A+ rating. Campus is very beautiful, but maximum part is covered with trees. It focuses mainly on PG Courses. The students of courses like Integrated MBA, Integrated MCA, and B.Pharm etc. are having a great scope in the college. It plays a vital role in making the student corporate ready.
 

Academics Rating
There is a separate building for Integrated MBA course. A student who qualified 12th with 60% marks can apply for this. There are several quotas for students like SC, ST, in service and Ex service. Every year more than 800 people apply for this exam. There are only 60 seats. Students from diversified background like arts, commerce and science students study here.
 

Faculty Rating
5 permanent and 8 temporary teaching staffs are there. Also 4 office staffs and 3 helping staffs are there. All staffs are very helpful. Professors are very cooperative and helping. All teachers are very brilliant with an experience of more than 10 years. They conduct seminars, webinars, presentation and extempore for the students.
 

Placement Rating
Average placement is 3 to 4 Lakh per Annum and highest is 12 Lakh per Annum. There is a placement cell which helps the students in getting placed.
 

Hostel Rating
7 boys’ hostels and 6 girl’s hostel are there. Boys reside in no.6 hostel and girls reside in no.5 hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
A beautiful academic building is there at the entry of University. Infrastructure is very good. One park with Mahatma Gandhi statue is there. 2 Central libraries are there out of which one is having computer facilities. All building has free Wi-Fi connectivity. One stadium is there where annual sports are conducted.
 

Campus Rating
Student’s number is 2 thousand to 3 thousand. Campus Life is entertaining and there is full of freedom. All students enjoy it and in case of any problem they can complain near Vice Chancellor.

    Utkal University is definitely a good choice if one is passionate about clearing government exams or interested in Odisha Judicial Services.     My overall review is I would say this is a very old and reputed institute in Odisha and the environment is very good and the campus life is just awesome.     University Law College (ULC) is one of the Constituent Institutes under the oldest University of Odisha that is Utkal University.
