My Views on IIITG

Overall Rating
Overall the college is good for academic and placements, but the hostel life is not good. Here, the weather is very cold in the winter which is difficult to survive. The college has a sports club and the students can participate in different games like cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc. The fests that are organised in the college are also good.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are good in our college but it is hard to score in subjects without having the basic knowledge. Examinations are hard, we can't score easily. Exam papers contain both multiple and descriptive questions. Internship and extracurricular activities are also organised by the college. Free course trainings are also provided by the lecturers. Clubs like programming club and technocrats club are available in the college.
 

Faculty Rating
All professors have done Ph.D from IIT and NIT and they have good experience in teaching. They are good at their subjects and they clear all the doubts without getting angry at the students. They motivate the students to score good in exams and they clarify the doubts related to different competitive exams like GATE and more.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, in our college there is a placement cell and it helps the students to acquire job with good package. We can get job in good companies like Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, and more, if we have good skill sets and knowledge. Here, the average package is around 17LPA for CSE and for ECE 13LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel in IIITG is not that bad. The quality of food is not so good here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure in IIIT Guwahati is good. The classrooms are equipped with all kind of facilities and there is one administrative block and one ground for playing cricket, volleyball and football. And there is a student activity centre for encouraging the interest of students in sports and other co curricular activities. There are three boy’s hostels, two girl’s hostels and one faculty residential block in the college. Various food stalls are also available around the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life at IIITG is good. The crowd here is limited of around 1000 people. There are various fests for cultural and technical purposes such as “Yuvaan” which is a cultural fest and “Entropy” which is a technical fest. Also, there are clubs for dance where they teach dance to beginners and a club for music where they teach various music notes to the students.

    Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati is an institute of national importance. The computer science and engineering branch is considered to be a good option among others. Once you come to the institute, you will not regret any more. You will automatically engage in it. Faculties are just amazing. There are many coding competitions and extracurricular activities.     IIITG is an institute, which is in its developing stage, and at this point I think, has a lot of scope to improve. First things first and what the priority should be faculty. I think this institute has best faculty. They are helping in nature and teach perfectly (obviously, exceptions do exist).     IIITG is surrounded by mountains, giving lively scenery and a friendly weather (neither too hot nor not too cold). You can adjust just with a fan. I entered this college because of its placement statistics.... Read Full Review

    I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason.
