College Life at AKGEC

Overall Rating
My name is Ravi Gupta and I am a fourth year student of CSE department. I have chosen this college because I have seen the ratings of this college on internet. According to me this college is good academically. But there are no fests and extracurricular activities for those students who are not any part of the clubs and societies. People who are very passionate about studies and don’t have any expectations from college life can come to this college, you will not regret academically.
 

Academics Rating
I am in computer Science branch and the eligibility criteria for this college are JEE mains examination. When I took admission, there was a UPSEE exam for the admission but currently it is not conducted. And you can also take direct admission through management quota for that your 12th marks should be good. This course will teach you about computer science theoretically but if you want to grab a placement you need to work hard on your own.
 

Faculty Rating
In my department there are good faculties who have knowledge of their subjects. I will not say every faculty is excellent but yes you will find here teachers who will help you if you really want to learn from them. The minimum qualification of faculties is M.Tech and some of are also holding a Ph.D or doing the same. Mostly the teaching is done through ppt over smart board.
 

Placement Rating
Training and placement cell (T&P) is there in our college for the placement activities. T and P help the students to get placement. They bring companies into the college. Overall training and placement cell is very good.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are hostels for both girls and boys. First year students have separate hostels so that there is no ragging in the campus. Hostel is good, clean and green. Mess is good and hygienic. Food is also good. Canteen is also there in the hostel. Overall hostel is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are different blocks for department such as CSE, IT, EN, ECE, mechanical etc. Infrastructure is good of this college. Campus is lush green. There are two canteens in our college, one is in CSIT block and other is in mechanical block. There is one library also having lots of books. Amphitheater is also there in our college which is an open area where students roam around with their friends.
 

Campus Rating
On usual basis there are no fests in the college, there are small events organised by the societies which are only accessible by only some specific students. Crowd is decent here. If you want to enjoy college life in here you need to be a part of any club or society according to your interest. In the clubs you can make new friends and explore your hobbies other than studies.
