Review on Utkal University, Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
It is the oldest and renowned university in Odisha. Integrated MBA in this College. This course is famous all over Odisha. But, very less campus placement is provided here. No good canteen facility is provided in boy’s hostel. It is very affordable. A middle class student can afford it. Campus life is good. Fests are conducted every year.
 

Academics Rating
This course includes BBA (3 years) and MBA (2 years). Students after completing 12th and having 60% marks are allowed to sit for the exam. 60 seats are there. Final weightage for the exam is 50% from 10th and 12th marks and 50% from the exam conducted by the department. Students who want to pursue only MBA can also apply if they have secured 3 CGPA in their graduation.
 

Faculty Rating
All professors are very supportive and brilliant. They all are creative and have a great knowledge. Their teaching style is very innovative and attractive. They use projectors in classroom, conduct group discussions, presentations, and case studies for teaching. 6 permanent teaching staff and 12 temporary teaching staff are there. And 10 non teaching staff is there.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell in university is less active. Average placement is 3-4 LPA and highest is 12 LPA. 60% students get placed every year.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is very good. 2 students in one room. Bathroom is cleaned daily. But many bathrooms don’t have doors and there are no tiles.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Some of the hostels are at bad condition and should be renewed. One park is there. One gym, one stadium, one sports complex, one indoor badminton court, etc. is available. Two central library are there one of which is e-library having computer facilities. One big administrative building is there. It is very beautiful.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good and enjoyable. It is good place to hangout with friends. There is a central food park. Many tasty foods available here at evening time. 2 markets are there. Alaka market and govind sahoo market. Sports are conducted every every year. And many fests are also conducted.

    Utkal University is definitely a good choice if one is passionate about clearing government exams or interested in Odisha Judicial Services.     My overall review is I would say this is a very old and reputed institute in Odisha and the environment is very good and the campus life is just awesome.     University Law College (ULC) is one of the Constituent Institutes under the oldest University of Odisha that is Utkal University.     Overall Rating
    Utkal University is the first and only University in odisha which got NAAC A+ rating. Campus is very beautiful, but maximum part is covered with trees. It focuses mainly on PG Courses.
