Dronacharya Group of institutions helped me in various aspects other than teaching as well. The greenery of the college was so relieving that one can never feel discomfort at the institution. First of all the institute just had an engineering department and an MBA department. This made life more comfortable as all the people I met were either engineering students or management students. The seniors were quite helpful and I was confused during the later years at the college and it was my seniors who guided me on how to proceed after engineering. The college is located in a third world it seems as there is no civilization near the college. The college was strict and some of the rules that were in place actually baffled me. T-shirts were not allowed and we had to contain with shirts. If you don’t carry a notebook the college is fine but if you by chance forget the I-Card or not wearing it, you will have to bear the consequences. The institute has its share of positives and negatives. The education system is good but the musical chairs with teachers were amusing.

The institute is known for not just academics but just like the name life lessons were also taught. Many people did found it a pain but I enjoyed every session. Mind you those sessions are compulsory and engineering was more or less a stroll in the park as we had 2 breaks in between the lectures and the day did last long but the breaks made it easier. The college is pretty strict and you dare to miss a lecture. While college hours, you can’t roam inside the institute. This is not all, you can’t even enter the library during college hours as there is a school-type library period. Don’t believe me, you can ask anyone because if someone randomly would have told me this even I wouldn’t have believed.

The attrition rate in teachers was even worse than an IT company. In one semester we had 2 or sometimes even 3 new teachers. It was baffling and I do feel that management is accountable for that. The teachers were all helpful be it the senior teachers or the ones that were appointed newly they all were helpful. Some of them were awful while some of them were awesome. If this musical chair wasn’t the case the faculty was more or less good. The faculty co-operated well and weaker students were taken care of by the faculty.

The placements for my branch CSE were great. Over 80% of students had the placement and that too in blue-chip IT firms. Infosys, TCS, Mphasis, Hexaware were all there and almost all the students cleared the interview section. The package offered was good as all of us were fresher’s and a job worth 4-5LPA was more than good. During the final semester, we all had the placements and due to some reason if we can’t take the job we had ample time in hand. Many of us went for higher studies and were given the option of pitching for other students. The notice board was kept busy as everyone who got the placement was informed through the notice board.

Sadly there’s no hostel facility offered by Dronacharya. The boy's hostel building was getting ready but no girls hostel provision was made. The college is in a remote location as it is in a village near Greater Noida. The management gave the reason that even if they have the hostel there are fewer chances that students will come and stay at the hostel. Not many outsiders were a part of the college and the college has a bus facility for students coming from NCR. Not many options nearby college and this severe drawback.

The college main building is no less than a palace. The main entrance has a fountain with the lord's idols in it. The main building is 2-floor building but its width is the highest for sure. It can be compared to any mall as the whole building is centralized air-conditioned. The parking space is ample and there are separate 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler parking spot. The main building was the one that had an admin block on the ground floor and classes were conducted in the same building on respective floors as per the departments. The cafeteria was at the right side of the building which served great food and perhaps was the only meal option that we had while at the institute. The management institute had its own separate building which was a 7-floor building. That building also had an auditorium and a huge library. No sporting facility and that is the only thing that the institute can add to its infrastructure as there is lot of space. The lush green campus is so pleasing to the eyes and one will fall in love with the campus right from the word go.

Pathetic again as there are hardly any events or fest. You come to the college, attend lectures and go back. I used to come by institute bus and more than the campus it was the hour-long bus journey where we had more fun. We used to sing all the way, play games, and tease each other. It was not a fairytale ride but wasn’t even boring.
