Review on JIS College of Engineering, Nadia

Overall Rating
My overall experience at JISCE is Pretty average. I was looking for an affordable College with good amenities and that’s what JISCE serves me. Since it has so many departments for bachelor’s degree, I chose this. This college is affiliated by MAKAUT and NIRF ranked. Overall the camping and syllabus curriculum is quite good.
 

Academics Rating
I came to this college by WBJEE counselling. One can get admitted by their respective rank in WBJEE or JEE Main. Departments like civil engineering, computer, science and engineering, information technology, etc. are very trendy and hence I chose CSE to get placement. College name in advertisement of newspaper, boards, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
Teacher has strict but teach average. There are number of faculties for different type of subjects. Most of the teachers have completed their masters and some of them also completed their Ph.D in the topmost floor of the main building. There are flipped classes where teachers check the knowledge of students by giving them assessments and group discussions.
 

Placement Rating
The placement rate in our college is quite average. Companies like Tata, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. hire students.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two different hostels for girls and boys.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are two crowns in our college with so many different departmental buildings. Laboratories like chemistry lab NPT lab data structures, lab electrical lab, physics lab, training lab and much more. The programmes are organised in BC Roy Auditorium. We have library from where we get our books. There is CMS building where our theory classes occur.
 

Campus Rating
Cultural fest, technical fest and many fests happened in our college. Intra College competitions also happen. JIS Samman hackathons are organised by our college. Intra College competitions like sports, badminton, chess, fashion, show, dance, song, anchoring, etc. organised. Other college activities like freshers, farewells, etc. are also given by our college to the juniors and seniors.

    JIS College of Engineering is accredited by NAAC. The NIRF Ranking of this college is between 150-300, which can be considered pretty decent as compared to the other college of the city. This College helps us to not only get ready to achieve our dream job but also helps to build conversational skills and others.
