Review on Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi

Overall Rating
It is Asia's biggest University campus spread over 1375 acres of land in midst of Varanasi, the spiritual capital of India. I wanted to complete my academics in Hindi literature for which this was the perfect place. Varanasi is the place of literature, starting from Kabir to Raidas to Tulsidas and the list goes on and on. This is the perfect place for a poet for an art enthusiast for a peace loving person. The university comprises of 140 plus departments and it is definitely a world within itself full of opportunities and exposure.
 

Academics Rating
My course was BA in Hindi literature. Now I am doing my masters also from here. This is a capital of knowledge for every subject or field of studies you name it and this university will have it. The big names like Ramchandra Shukla or Hazari Prasad Dwivedi of Hindi or Dr. Doodnath singh all were associated with my Hindi department. And this goes with every department. Each one has their best minds and legacy.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in itself is exploding like dynamite, infact we used to say “arts faculty dynamite ". Classes are well furnished, equipped with advanced modern technology and the faculties here are totally amazing, experts of their subject and way nice in teaching it. They knows how to deal with students and so welcoming and kind that students can whenever go to their home and have a discussion over cup of tea and clear doubts regarding anything.
 

Placement Rating
Dean of student welfare runs a Placement Cell. Every year students are getting placed in impressive numbers from every department.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel and their affordable tasty mess meals are next level adding value to university health and mental peace of students. Big hostels with hundreds of rooms along with common TV rooms and indoor games and outdoor grounds to play and each hostel have nice spacious libraries.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of BHU is one of the world classes. You have labs on which latest researches takes place. India's one of the biggest supercomputer is housed in BHU "the shivay ". It has Asia biggest cyber library with 400 functional computer setups and biggest library with 9 lakhs plus books. It has wellness and health centre with free medical facilities up to 5 lakh available for each student.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is just amazing. Living among your friend group 24 hours is like a homely feeling caring for each other night walks in campus. Plucking fruits such as mangoes from trees and roaming in agricultural fields is fun. There are chai corners in the campus where you can debate and discuss productive topics and meet new people and make new friends. This campus is full of vibes. India's tallest temple the new Vishwanath Temple is there. This campus is such that can never ever be explained in words it can only be lived to the fullest.

    As per IAS (Indian Agricultural Science), BHU is the 2nd NIRF ranking in India and 1st Agricultural university in India. Therefore, as I have to study from a best agricultural university and it is the best option.     As we all are aware that Banaras Hindu University is globally recognized university and one the prestigious university in India. The most important thing in making it so is the Academics part. As a student of Commerce department in BHU, I can tell you about my department only. Though it's not the best but I can confidently say that our faculty can easily make into top 10 institutes for Commerce students in India, especially for the B.com (Hons.).     The great legacy of the university known as Banaras Hindu University. It is one of the best University in Asia and the largest residential too. My college was Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and I chose it due to the fact that it had an excellent reputation and it had one of the most important things called a PG quota which helps a lot in future PG exams as well....
