My Experience in IIT BHU

Overall Rating
My rank in JEE Advance was 8102 and also I am general category, so there were only core branches I am getting in old IITs. I had done the research regarding the placement and branch, mainly the large alumni network made me choose this college. During my preparation I loved studying topics like Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, etc. and these subjects are also in the branch of chemical. So I am quite satisfied with my branch.
 

Academics Rating
So, to get admission in IIT BHU or in any other IIT one needs to first clear JEE Mains and then in general category mainly to get good rank approximately under 12 thousand, one can easily get into IIT. In my time the closing rank in Chemical branch in IIT BHU was about 8.5 thousand. And the main motive to take admission in IIT is to get good placement and various other good future opportunities.
 

Faculty Rating
If we talk about professors in IITs they are highly qualified, not only in branch but in every branch the professors are next level. Ph.D is the minimum criteria for becoming the professor. Mostly the professors are Ph.D and research scholars from the top universities over the world. They obviously teach the concepts very deeply.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a Training and Placement Cell in IIT BHU. They only invite the companies as well as manage the interview and placement drive. Talking about the placement in branch, the average placement in chemical branch from IIT BHU is about 19 Lakhs. This 2023 season was the time of recession so the placements were decreased because of this.
 

Hostel Rating
In IIT BHU almost in each year there are over 1500 students, so to accommodate this high number of students there are many hostels. But the hostels for boys and girls are different. Mess is inside the hostels only where the quality of food is top level. Data says that IIT BHU takes the minimum charges for the hostel and mess, and has one of the best mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
IIT BHU became IIT in 2010 but earlier it was IT BHU, so this college is more than 100 years old. Because of this fact the infrastructure is not at all good in IIT BHU as compared to the other newer IITs. The buildings are old as well as the hostels. But they are now focusing on the infrastructure new hostels is being made and the departments are being renovated.
 

Campus Rating
IITs provide the best college life no doubt in this. IIT BHU is crowded also the infrastructure is not good but despite these facts there are more than 50 clubs covering every field, also there are two fests mainly PNE is the cultural in which this year Vishal & Sheykhar and Akhil Sachdeva performed.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals. But when it comes to hostel life is really get emotional because hostel is the true heart of the students where they live for 4/5 years as their home and friends as siblings.     I joined the institute because the coding culture here is the best (in my opinion). According to the convention, IIT BHU stands at 9th position in all 23 IITS. It stands at 3rd position in overall 23 IITs in terms of placements. It has a lavish green campus and has its own vibe. The campus is literally huge with area of whopping 1300 acres.
