Ramjas College B.Com Review By Sonali Rawat

Hi dear reader, I graduated from Ramjas College of Delhi University in 2023. I spent my first 1.5 year in my home without visiting college for once due to covid pandemic. It was fully online mode which the College was following due to government guidelines. Finally in my 4th semester I got to visit my college and attend classes in offline mode. I made some lifelong friends there and learnt various lessons that I know will definitely help me in life. Overall I would say it was a blast in Ramjas the time I spent there was not less than a memorial trip experience. It's one of the oldest colleges of Delhi University with a beautiful and enriched history of 103 years so yes it’s totally worth it to be a Ramjasite.

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) is one of the most renowned courses of Ramjas College last it the college broke some record regarding the same as far as I remember so if you are planning to pursue B.Com hons. From Ramjas so just go for it you won't regret. There are various subjects at max 5 in one semester that one can easily cover without giving up the fun in fests or without hampering their college life. When I took admission the eligibility was based upon the percentage one scored in 12th but now in 2024 your CUET score is the only thing that matters so work hard upon that.

The commerce faculty is highly qualified and you will get an opportunity to be taught by teachers who have achieved a lot in their lives. There are some teachers who will definitely get on your nerves because they know your 25 marks at the end of semester is in their hands only. There are many teachers who have a very chill attitude towards attendance so you can easily focus on your studies if pursuing CA, Actuary, CS, CMA, etc.

Yes, the College offers placement. I myself got placed in a very renowned organisation as an Analyst. Do sit in the placement drive if you don't plan for further education or just for the sake of exposure or to know how things actually work in real. The highest package offered during my batch was 21.5 lakhs.

The college has one of the most beautiful campuses one can ever have. During my college days I and my friends visited almost all the colleges of North Campus including SRCC, Miranda, Hansraj, KNC, etc. and therefore I can proudly say Ramjas has the best campus ever. The crowd, the vibes everything is just Wow. There are 4 to 5 lawns in the college eco lawn, science lawn, library lawn, etc. The auditorium, classes, labs, etc. are also far better than other colleges. You will find a lot of greenery in the college and can chill in the lawns during your free time (or when you are not in the mood to attend classes).

This the only thing where Ramjas lacks I believe or which was missing during my college days there was not even a single worthy fest hosted by college. Literally we were craving to have one fest in our college with one cool singer or influencer but nope there was not even one. There are numerous cultural fests, competitions, hackathon, guest speaker session, etc. organised by the college and various respective societies.
