Asansol Engineering College BCA Review By Sayan Sinha

I would rate the college a 7/10. The ambience of the college is nice. It has gymnasium, canteen, playground, parking, auditorium, library and a basket ball court. The college also provides hostel facilities for students as well as faculty members. There are 4 blocks in total. The classes are in moderate condition and every block has more than one lab with sufficient equipment. Staffs and clerks are helpful. The food available at the canteen are delicious and are provided in the pocket friendly rates. It also has a stationary shop and it also provides the service for photocopy.

Academic condition of this college is decent. Skilled and Professional teachers teach the students. The library provides books for studying so students don't need to buy books from shops. Teachers provide enough guidance other than lectures. Students get enough knowledge regarding the industry standards and the faculty makes them fit for the industry standards.

The faculty members are very good. Though it depends on department to department. All the HODs are having doctorate and are enough skilled and Professional. They provide proper guidance to the students and helps them in doubts. Faculty other than HODs is good too. They provide much guidance and are ready to help the students anytime. Every department has enough number of teachers.

I am not yet placed.

I live in the same city so I don't stay in hostel.

The buildings of the college are in decent condition. Facilities like ventilation, water and lights are there. Toilets are in not so good. The labs are equipped with A/C and have enough tools, machines and instruments. Corridors and classrooms are clean. Machines are well maintained and doesn't cause inconvenience to students.

Campus life is fine actually. It has many clubs like hardware, coding, photography, etc which organises many events, programs and competitions which keep students involved in the activities other than studies. Every festival is celebrated in the college and cultural as well as non cultural programs also take place. But sadly the chances of fest are very less. No fest was organised in last two years.
