Ramjas College B.Com Review By Shruti Singh

Honestly, Ramjas was never my first choice. But in my fifth cutoff, I could only manage to get admission into Ramjas and thinking that I am such a loser for not getting SRCC or Hansraj. But, at the end of my college, I realised how lucky I was to be a part of Ramjas. The most beautiful campus of all the north campus colleges one can get. Its serenity and vibrancy is such a rare and yet beautiful combination. I loved hanging out with friends in Amphitheater next to the canteen where dance society people were always practicing. It was also a kind of entertainment for us. We loved sitting on the corridors of auditorium which was indeed our favourite spot. And the ground was huge enough to occupy every student who wishes to get some winter sunbath. It was indeed a beautiful experience for me.

I chose B.com Honours as it had better subjects and I had maths as well in class 12th which made me eligible to apply for it. The course helped one a lot if someone is pursuing CA altogether with their college studies. Though I was not preparing for CA, it helped me gain more insight into the real time industry knowledge.

Faculty members are very experienced and are highly cooperative with the students. They understand that students are pursuing different things altogether and always give guidance. Most of them have done Ph.Ds. Their Teaching style is so fun. One of our professors used to explain the concepts to us with the help of movies. Some would also keep informing us about various college activities and seminars going on so that we may not miss them.

We do have a Placement Cell in our college. Placement coordinators are very hardworking but the only concern I felt during my placement period was that mostly the companies that were brought were for the role of sales. Other roles that used to come were for Business Analyst, Client Success, and rarely in HR.

I was not in hostel, but whatever I have heard from my friends, the facilities were good.

Infrastructure was beautiful. There was an old building and a new building. The new building had lifts and 5 floors with so many spacious rooms. It was fully ventilated and I loved that how air was always coming in summers making it a cool atmosphere to sit. There were some nicely equipped computer labs as well and library was also very good with all our syllabus books available there.

Though in my college time, there were no grand fest arrangements in our college, but there were diwali fest and society fest which was vibrant enough to attract large crowd from DU. The crowd is very smart and everyone seems to be exploring a lot just like us. The best engagement activity in college used to be attending fests of all other north campus colleges and going for yulu rides.
