St Xavier's college, Kolkata is the best college to study in as this college provides a lot of opportunities to each and every student in very field. A student gets to learn about so many things for educational to extracurricular activities. I chose this college as my seniors who studied in this college told me a lot of good things about SXC. The best thing about this college is that it is autonomous.

I m pursuing B.Com (Hons.) in SXC. The eligibility criteria for this course in SXC is minimum 85-90% in all the subjects and cut off can go even higher depending on the results. Math is a mandatory subject for this course and at least 90% should be scored in mathematics. A student who is very much serious in studies should take admission in this college.

The faculty members of B.Com (Hons.) course are great in this college. The teachers for each and every subject are so cooperative. Their teaching style is so good like they explain each and every topic of the syllabus and even give notes to all the students. If any student has a query, the teachers are ready to clear it.

Yes there is a placement cell in the college. The placement cell is really very helpful for the students who want to do jobs after the college. The big companies like for example PWC, Diloette, Accenture and many more, recruits students from our college. But everyone does not get the chance. It depends on the potential of the student.

Yes, there is a hostel but I don’t have any idea as I don’t stay there. As far as I know it’s too strict.

The campus is very big. There is a big library for all the students and it contains all types of books and journals related to every field and topic. Any student of the college can go to library for books and can even go there to study. There is a basketball court for the students and students who want to practice basketball can practice it in the court. There are many types of societies like commerce society, finance society, and many more. Each society conducts different types of seminar and even calls famous persons for a speaker session. Any student can attend these seminars which are very helpful. Arts and dance society is also there. Students who are interested in dance, singing, or arts can join the society.

The campus life of this college is great and very cool. Every year in the month of February fest is conducted that is Xavotsav. Students can take part in any of the event in which he or she is interested. Sports days are also held before Xavotsav for the students interested in sports. This college arranges a lot of extracurricular activities for the students.
