Sarala Birla University B.Tech Review By Anshu Priya

I choose this collage because in Ranchi after BIT Mesra, I found Sarla Birla University to be the one to complete my B.Tech degree. There is no sort of indiscipline or misbehave tolerated. Overall its fine compare to other colleges or university in Ranchi. Exams are taken on time but I didn't like the duration between semesters as they take semester exam in 4 months or three months. I joined this college in 20 August 2023 and September onwards they started the mid sem and on November my final sem also started I found it to be short time given to students. One more thing I didn't like about the college is unnecessary they take development charge in every semester.

I am pursuing B.Tech Computer Science over here, but according to me diploma or BCA degree will be much better to do from this collage. The actually syllabus of B.Tech is not been taught here properly. The eligibility to take admission in B.Tech students must score good marks in 12th Science with maths. I personally choose this college by seeing the fee structure and the surety of getting placement but now I doubt on placement as they are not teaching what they actually should.

The faculty members who teach me have done their Ph.D but most of them are not experienced one. Graphics and engineering, Basic Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, Unix, and programming were subjects in my first sem. Unix and C programming is important subjects for a computer science student but faculty of this subject don’t teach much and not clearing the concept properly.

Yes, there is Placement Cell in my university but here BBA or MBA students are more priorities and are placed to companies but with not that good package. B.Tech students have to give three tests for placement first written, second coding on computer, and then interview round. B.Tech students need to work hard for getting placed but most of them get off placement as it is much better than campus placement. Students need to work on their skills by their own.

The first thing I was attracted to be the infrastructure of this university as it is on a large area. Academic block where there are classes held for students lift is also provided and amphitheater where most of the programs are held is also good. The wall art where Ramayana is represented is one of the attractive pieces of this university. Administration building where all queries are solved of students and library discipline is maintained. There is a big play ground where students can play any sports. The college is full of greenery.

Recently fresher’s party was arranged for freshers which was too good where everyone enjoyed. Here all cultural events and fest are organised by seniors. Sports programs are also held properly. Seniors over are the main reason to organise all kind of clubs and fest. Yes, overall campus life and other activities are enjoyed by all students.
