Aditya Engineering College B.Tech Review By Srikanth Lanke

I have studied Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in Aditya Engineering College during the year 2008-12. It all started with introducing college to the students and made us habituated to the college environment by conducting various fun-filled activities to all the fresher's students. The week-long program has given us a mild exposure to what we will study in the next four years. In those four years, the college has come up with different initiatives that enhance our learning capabilities. Some of the initiatives include the Annual Youth Festival, Technical Fests, Seminars, Motivational Sessions, Campus Placement Training etc. The college management tried their best to give the placements in 2012. However, due to recession, very few people were placed.

The college has been made autonomous, and it acts according to its curriculum. Most of the times, the college focus is on academics. The academics comprises of both the internal and external exams to the students. The students' marks are awarded based on their knowledge and the lecturer's personal impression of the respective students. The students are encouraged to participate in various academic and technical events as a part of the improvement in their academics. For the students with the below-average academic record, the management conducts a faculty interaction period at the end of the day. Through this initiation, the students can get their doubts clarified and interact with the faculty.

Management is very cautious in hiring experienced faculty and lecturers with the good academic record. Although the administration is careful in recruiting efficient candidates, a few lecturers on the campus were still at the below par the level regarding the subject knowledge and communication skills. It would be better if the college management starts hiring lectures from the industrial background. However, the faculty's relationship with the students is good, and the professors are always approachable to the students for clarifying their doubts.

The college used to be under the affiliation of JNTU Kakinada University at first. However, the college has been recently made autonomous. Aditya Engineering College Placements record is better compared to the colleges around. The college has good relationships with almost all the reputed MNC's operating in the country. The college has a special placement cell for coordinating with the top companies for internships. The average package the students get is about Rs. 3 Lakh Per Annum to 3.6 Lakh Per Annum. The college has a separate team for the students to get prepared for the campus interviews. It supports a lot to the students having an excellent and above-average academic record and good communication skills.

The college campus is a mix of the South Indians, North Indians, and students from neighboring countries. The management has constructed separate hostel buildings for the students from these places. The spacious hostel rooms accommodate 4-5 students for each room provided with the almirahs, safety lockers and two attached washrooms in the room. The best part of the hostel is the food that is being served. The menu is different for the South and North Indians. However, the students from North India and Neighboring Countries students face a problem with the food.

When it comes to infrastructure, one should talk about Aditya Engineering College because it is the best place for infrastructure. It is a vast campus having separate buildings for different courses like B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, Diploma, and MBA. Each facility is equipped with individual computer labs, Physics, Chemistry Labs and Library. The college has a vast playground and the open auditorium for conducting sports and extracurricular events like youth festivals on the campus. Moreover, the college has good roads, Wi-Fi facility for students, sick rooms etc.

The campus is very spacious with an open auditorium, a separate building for multiple courses and pollution-free surroundings with all greenery around. The location is very comfortable for both the day scholars and the hostellers to commute any time. The seniors and co-students in the college were very cooperative to the juniors, and the faculty is accessible approachable in case of any doubts. The management is always ready to conduct various academic and co-curricular activities to the students. If you are good at academics and communication skills, you can surely expect placement assistance from the college.
