St. Xavier's College B.Com Review By Nishet Lakra

St. Xavier's College is well known all around India and that was one of the main reasons for me to Join this institution. The overall facility provided hear is quite nice and the faculties are also quite good. Since I am from Ranchi, Jharkhand, there are only a few well known colleges which are known for their facilities and the quality of education. This was my main reason for joining St. Xavier's College, Ranchi.

I personally applied for B.Com under graduate course and the eligibility of students for this course is just like any other institution. To take admission in this college you need to clear the entrance exam which is organised by the college after filling the application form. One thin which I want to share is that, if you want to take admission in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi you need to give CUET examination also. Therefore students should take this into consideration. Academic is one of the plus points of this college. St. Xavier's College is known for its academic excellence and this is what I experienced myself. The students are much declined and the faculties are also good.

The faculties in St. Xavier's college, Ranchi are quite good to be honest. In my experience almost all the teachers are really good, supportive, and full of knowledge. I also noticed that some faculties are not at all good. They do partiality among boys and girls, and they also miss behave with students. The style of teaching of the teachers is quite boring. Some of the faculty just start dictating note to the students rather than explaining the points.

The placement aspect of this college is quite low. There are much better options in terms of campus placement. If the thing you want is campus placement then this institution is not for you. The package that the students get offered by the companies is quite low compared to other institution.

Yes, St. Xavier's College, Ranchi provides hostel service but only for boys. There are two blocks; block A and block B both of them are for boys. I have not stayed in campus hostel so I am unable to give my opinion in this regard, but I have heard great thing about the hostel from my friends who stay in campus hostel.

Infrastructure is quite good. We have all the basic facilities like drinking water, dustbins, parking (only for two wheelers), ground, etc. We have smart classes which are equipped with smart boards. There are several sections or blocks of college building. The post graduate building is separate from the undergraduate building.

Campus Life is normal. The college campus is quite small and it does not have many things that you can get engaged into. Still you can definitely enjoy and make a lot of memories here. The campus is neat and clean. Majority of the faculties are also friendly and events like football tournament and other interdepartmental events are organised.
