University of Lucknow, Lucknow - My perception

Overall Rating
I will say that overall college experience was nice. Actually I got here because I thought it is a state university, so the college will be government so it will be very beneficial in terms of fee and other charges. But after taking admission I got to know that the faculty of Engineering and Technology is management based/self finance. But the degree and course is affiliated to University. The students who want to go for higher studies can go for this college.
 

Academics Rating
I was a Mechanical Engineering student in this college. In Mechanical I will say all the faculties are very knowledgeable and they are supporting and helpful. I got admission through UPSEE in 2019. But now-a-days admission is taken through JEE MAINS or through CUET and if seats left vacant then they take direct admissions also.
 

Faculty Rating
In my department, i.e. In Mechanical Engineering department, the faculty members are very much experienced. They have good knowledge about their field. They are supporting and very helpful. I think in my department the student teacher interaction is very good. The style of their teaching in classrooms is so enjoyable. We love to attend classes. So overall teachers are very nice.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a Training and Placement Cell in the college. Their main goal is to get all the students places and to show 100% placement. But one issue is that, the companies that come are mainly for CA and ECE. There are very less companies for mechanical engineering. Mainly the mechanical students get placed in sales companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are hostels for girls and boys separately. I do live in hostel for a year, i.e. 1st year of my course. The fee of hostel is nearly 55k including the mess fee. The hostel is good and food in the hostel mess is very nice. Security is good there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Now, in the college there are two buildings. In the old building there is mechanical department, civil department, and applied science and humanity Department. In the old building there are all offices also. In the new building there is EE, ECE, and CSE department and also the pharmacy faculty is in new building. The college has all the labs and a good workshop. It has a library which has all the books.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life was very good. There is good crowd now because of Engineering, Management, and Pharmacy faculties being there. There are clubs like Literacy Club, Robotics club, etc. There annual fest, holi fest, garba nights in navratri, etc. There are sports fests also. Apart from these all, being a government college, we take part in university organised programs also.

    No doubt University of Lucknow is a prestigious institution with utmost historical significance of more than 100 years. The best thing about this place is its amazing, well experienced and supportive faculty who always encourages you and guides you. Educational facilities here are also quite beneficial.   • My life at University of Lucknow
     

    Overall Rating
    The historical significance and the evergreen glory of more than 100 years is the essence of this university. I decided to get into this university because it is in my city. The greenery all around and beautiful campus attracts a lot of students. The famous infrastructure Tagore Library also catches student’s attention with numerous facilities, books, magazines and news journals.     My overall experience in the University has been very good till now. I chose this particular university as this the finest University in Uttar Pradesh and am also NAAC+ accredited which makes it more trustable.     University of Lucknow is situated near the banks of river Gomti and is one of the most beautiful and old institutes in the state, which is also a heritage of Lucknow. University currently has 2 campuses, one in Badshahganj near Hazratganj and the second one in Jankipuram, Lucknow.
