GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management MBA Review By Dinesh Kashyap

Unlike many the area of the campus is adequately small but the buildings are nice and well-structured. The college has been improving in all the aspects that I will be reviewing. If you compare it with Noida’s other colleges based on same parameters, you will find GL Bajaj Institute of Technology way ahead. In terms of discipline and rules, it’s like a school as MBA students also has a dress code. On placement parameters the college is undoubtedly better than many. The college as all would agree that it is best in studies but equally bad when it comes to other exposures and extracurricular activities the college doesn't have much to offer. So for nerds there’s no better option than G L Bajaj. GL Bajaj Admission in MBA are done on CAT. Anything around 60-70 percentile would be enough to get admission in this college. The college has one of the most energetic campus you will ever find.

Academics are tough and strict at the same time. Attendance is the biggest parameter and no mercy is shown by the management if the attendance is low. Students are free to keep the priority that they want. The college will make you get involved with workshops, labs, and guest lectures from the stalwarts of various fields not just the industrialist. The college well and truly believes in making the best MBA students and therefore the college has built various innovation centers. In reality the students obviously don’t find it interesting but it’s a great opportunity.

Well in PG programs I don’t think the faculty play a huge role. The teaching method of the faculty was proper and made us understand all that was included in the syllabus by giving proper examples. The classes were lengthy and to make them interesting the faculty gave us breathing space and cracked jokes. The faculty was friendly and their deep classes meant that one night study was enough to clear the semester exams.

Class apart when it comes to GL Bajaj MBA placement. I don’t know the exact ratio but the one’s I know were comfortably placed. The reason for which everyone did MBA was to get placements and GLB’s track record in placement is on a top spree as of now. The training classes for placements was done weeks before the campus interview and I would also like to thank my previous college as what they taught was an add-on and that all added on my CV helped me get a better job than my mates. The average was around Rs. 7-8LPA but I got way more than that. Luckily for me I also didn’t have to leave Noida as I got the job in my city only. International brokerage firms are with whom I always wanted to work and was lucky to get a job with Credit Suisse. Other than that Citi Bank, Yes Bank were also among the top recruiters.

Other than hostel students no one is allowed to enter the rooms but being a Delhi boy we somehow managed to gatecrash and enter the hostel rooms as I had some of my classmates staying there. The hostel is actually a residential complex and MBA students had to be a part of twin sharing rooms. I don’t know if it was a compulsion but all I knew were staying 2 students in a room. Along with boys hostel there’s a girl’s hostel building next to the boys hostel. The rooms are spacious and had a good enough balcony that faced the main road. The rooms had all the amenities including beds, sofa, Almirah, and a TV. The hostel also provided food which I can’t give my opinion on as I never tasted it.

The college in terms of area is small but the buildings were new and perfectly maintained. From wash-rooms to classrooms all were clean and were cleaned daily. The engineering building is bigger than that of ours. Since MBA students don’t require labs we just had access to computer labs which was in the same building where the technical labs were located. Talking to some engineering students they told me that everything that we are taught the labs are equipped for a technical experiment on those. You can bank on the kind of labs that were there. Call it conference hall or an auditorium the college had a state-of-the-art auditorium which has a seating capacity of 1000 people at a time. The auditorium was fully air-conditioned and an auditorium of this size would be hard to find. There’s a mess that serves Thali and a food court or canteen that is handy when it comes to grabbing a quick bite. The sports courts be it of table tennis, futsal or basketball they are always occupied by students. The campus also has a medical facility at the campus.

Since there were not many events other than the sports week where MBA students were tried out to be a part of. I participated in Volleyball in which MBA team easily got rid of the engineering team. That is one of the fondest memories of campus like because other than it was studies and more studies.
