Surendranath College, Kolkata - Review

Overall Rating
This is one of the nearest colleges from Sealdah station so it does not take much time for traveling. My father passed out from this college and he is a government officer so, I inspired by him. One can get chance to admit in this college with 65% marks also. In our zoology department here is a large museum of various types of species and their bone structures.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Zoology and it is a very attractive course nowadays. For choosing zoology one should have biology and chemistry in their class 12 subjects. It is a very interesting and practical oriented subject. We get to know more about the animals and insects, their genus, characters, and reproductive life.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers of our department are very helpful. Especially our Head of Department mam helps us in every problem. They inform us the class timing before a day through WhatsApp and also give perfect study material after class. In this college many career counselling sessions are held, through this we can know about various ways of our course.
 

Placement Rating
I am not aware about the placement review. Because it is a general course and after doing B.Sc in this course one should continue higher studies or search for job off campus.
 

Hostel Rating
There is no hostel of our college. We use Calcutta University's hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our arts building, science building, and law building are separate. The room capacity is large enough to sit comfortably and attend the classes. Projectors as well as white boards both are available in the classroom for better academic purposes. AC room is also there so that we can study comfortably in summer season.
 

Campus Rating
Last year November Sunidhi Chauhan and Jubin Nautiyal came to our college fest and we did a great fun. Overall campus life is amazing. There is a very strong union in our college. This helps us in many problems. In our campus there is a little playground. Students play badminton, cricket, and football here.

    Overall the campus was very good. It provides many courses for Undergraduate and Post Graduate students along with many other additional courses. You can pursue Advance Diploma here as it is best for students who want to do B.Com or M.Com in future.     Surendranath College holds prestige as one of the oldest colleges under the banner of Calcutta University situated in the heart of the city, giving the convenience of all kinds of transportations be it bus, metro, or train.
