University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram - Review

Overall Rating
I am pursuing Chartered Accountancy course. While searching for a distance education program to do B.Com on the simultaneously, I came across Kerala University. A friend of mine had recommended it to me since his father was an English faculty in the university. I was a bit apprehensive about it initially but then never regretted it after enrolling.
 

Academics Rating
I enrolled in Bachelor of Commerce course via private registration in the year 2020. You have to score 45% in class 12th examination to get admission into this course. I chose taxation as an elective as I was doing chartered accountancy on the side. The university offers various other electives such as travel and tourism, literature, history, and so forth.
 

Faculty Rating
Since I registered for a private registration course, attending lectures was not a part of the curriculum. Although I had to make decent amount of trips to the University to make enquiries. The faculties, staffs, administrative, etc. in the campus were all kind and supportive enough to resolve doubts arising among the students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, University has placements for various courses offered. Though it may vary depending upon the course one chooses. A mere WhatsApp enquiry to the University can help you out regarding the same.
 

Hostel Rating
The university in itself does not offer hostel facilities. However, colleges affiliated with the university do provide such help to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure in the Kerala University is spectacular and neatly maintained. Campus is spread all across Palayam. It has various blocks dealing with specific departments. Canteen, library, enquiry booths, staff rooms, waiting halls, etc. form a part of this vast campus. Direction boards are placed at all the points to guide the students.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life for every Kerala University student is a dream come true. The university organises fests, gigs, and provides a platform to all the artistic and creative students. This keeps the student sane and entertained. The university placed in the busiest and posh area of the city, is filled with cafes, restaurants, and hangout places for the students.

  • My good days at Kerala university

    My dream from the school days was to study at the University of Kerala. Teaching methods and approach used here is exceptional. Not all students can get admission here because marks in 12th class are a great concern. You have to pass the admission procedure of interview. The greatest advantage here is that no one compels you here for anything. It is your wish and choice what you want to pursue.
