Raiganj Government Medical College and Hospital MBBS Review By Sourish Dey

When my NEET result was declared, I was assured that I got selection but I was in dilemma regarding which college I should choose. I took the decision to take admission in Raiganj Government Medical College. It is a new medical college established in West Bengal. I got a wonderful experience in this college from seniors, juniors, batch mates, and faculties. Our institute has an intensive academic curriculum. Besides we get the privilege of extracurricular activities, academic fest, and cultural fest. Overall those facilities are the reason I chose the college.

Our college has an impressive faculty student ratio. It helps us to learn extensively. We get exposure with a large number of patients. To get into the MBBS course of this college, you must crack NEET exam. On the basis of state rank students get chance in this medical college. I took admission in this college to become a doctor and to become eligible for upcoming next exam.

Faculties of this college are highly experienced. They all are at least MBBS and MD. Their student friendly attitude helps us to have fondness for medical education. Faculties take class through digital method like projector, laptop, etc. They are more practical oriented to help us by knowing real life problems.

This is a government medical college, so as such there is no Placement Cell. But we get facility of one year internship after 4.5 years of MBBS.

Yes, we have a great hostel facility. Hostel rooms are well equipped and each room is allotted for three students in general.

Academic block of this college is magnificent in view and it contains 6 floors in total. The academic block contains all lecture theatres, demonstration room, professor's office, principal's office etc. Aqua guard, washroom facilities are available in each floor of the college. There is a spacious library enriched with a large number of books in our college.

The campus Life is attractive and charming. The campus is clean, well decorated and full of greenery. There are badminton court, volleyball court, cricket, and football ground available in our college. Academic fest called scientifesta and cultural fest called Fraigma are observed with pomp and grandeur.
