My Life at RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata

Overall Rating
Basically it is a semi government college and its fees is lower than private colleges as well as its location is good. While WBJEE counselling I did not get any government college so I choose this college. I am from Information Technology department. I choose this department because the pressure is lower than other departments.
 

Academics Rating
If a student wants to pursue B.Tech he should pass class 12 with PCM. The college conducts admission process through WBJEE counselling or direct admission process. The college conducts direct admission process after WBJEE counselling if seats remain vacant without any donation.
 

Faculty Rating
Basically the faculty student ratio for every department in this college is nearly 1:60. Most of the faculties is Ph.D holders and passed their Masters from Jadavpur University. Most of the professors lose energy during classes and teaches in boring style. But some professors are good for teaching, they teach us well.
 

Placement Rating
Basically I am in 2nd year and I don't have too much knowledge about Placement Cell. But as I know from seniors, our college has Placement Cell and conducts every year on campus as well as pool campus placement drive which helps a lot of students. Without that as I heard, the college give a chance to students in final year for cracking internship.
 

Hostel Rating
The College doesn’t provide any hostel facility. But around college area there are a lot of PGs and rented flats. For 2 beds sharing PGs rent around 3k to 4k per month without food facility. The rent for 2 BHK flats around college area is nearly 10-14k per month.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has two campuses, old and new campus. Most of the classes are held in new campus but some classes are held in old campus. The college has its ground for playing like football, cricket, and so on. The college management improving college campus every year so our college getting better each year.
 

Campus Rating
The college conducts many technical and non technical fests like Kirrathon, Bihaan, Regalia, GOT, and so on. Bihaan fest is also known as fresher party because it conducts by senior to fresher for welcoming them. Techtrix is technical fest where students make remote control car for competition. Every year popular celebrities came at regalia fest.

    My college is situated besides the south Canal road and it is very beautiful college. Here many types of flowers seen here. The environment is very good to study and there are two buildings present in the campus. A pond is present in middle of the college.     The institute is beside the canal South road. The environment is fine here. The faculty members are too friendly to share everything with them. There are many types of trees of flowers for the good vibe. Our lab is very good and very clean the placement record are good in the college. All the teachers are friendly.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    Our college has 2 grounds and also 2 campuses. The college atmosphere is so much calm and the trees will refresh one’s mind too. The seniors are friendly. There is no raging in the college. The faculty members are very friendly. And they communicate with us with so much regards. Our have techtrix (cultural competition), regalia (annual fest), GOT (annual sports), etc. There are very much amazing sessions occurred in our college that gives a very good mindset to us....     First of all, I chose studying at RCCIIT because it is a semi government college. Besides that, the fees of this college is lower that other colleges in West Bengal. When I was preparing for WBJEE when my teacher's daughter got placed in a good MNC called NRI FinTech from RCCIIT. So from that I got the motivation to get into this college.     Firstly the college has an enough space for student. There are 2 Campuses. One for B.Tech only. And the other for M.Tech, BCA, and MCA. So as a B.Tech student there is sufficient classrooms and computer Lab. The computer lab is well maintained and very useful. There are much and more places for playing and sports.
