Review of RCIIT, Kolkata

Overall Rating
So the story starts from WBJEE. I gave the exam and got a rank around 1.5k. So in first attempt I got RCC IIT in IT branch. Talking about why I get into this college because it was a semi government college which has collaboration with many govt entitled like MEITY. Placements are pretty good but not like the tier 1 colleges.
 

Academics Rating
My course is Information Technology which gives us the detailed idea about mainly software development. The curriculum includes many important and interesting topics like ToC, Algorithms, Python, and many more. We are also getting specialized classes on AI powered by INTEL. College also provides us with placement classes.
 

Faculty Rating
As I am a lateral student so I don’t know about the 1st year faculties but in 2nd year faculties are very good. Most of the faculties are Ph.D holders, so there is no doubt they have awesome caliber of teaching. They are as supportive as friendly in nature. You will never get bored in the classes. They teach in a very impressive way.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are okay and if you did something in last year you are going to get a good placement. MNCs like Cognizant, TCS, PWC, etc. come here. Package is average 5 LPA and highest is 14 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
We have no hostel facility but around the college you can get rooms for rent which is good for students who came from out of the city.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College has two campuses an old one and a new one. Campus is pretty big but not so fancy. You will get Wi-Fi over the campus. Two big playgrounds. Smart classrooms and labs for each department for individual subjects. As it is a semi govt. college classrooms are quite good but not that so good looking.
 

Campus Rating
I’m in second year and if I talk about the campus life its good non toxic. Study environment it’s so peaceful. You can participate in many events like Techtrix, GoT, Ragalia, and many more. Also students clubs like GDSC, NSS, and Noobcode Community are also available. Students can also join those clubs to get some new experience.

    My college is situated besides the south Canal road and it is very beautiful college. Here many types of flowers seen here. The environment is very good to study and there are two buildings present in the campus. A pond is present in middle of the college.     Overall Rating
    The institute is beside the canal South road. The environment is fine here. The faculty members are too friendly to share everything with them. There are many types of trees of flowers for the good vibe. Our lab is very good and very clean the placement record are good in the college. All the teachers are friendly.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    Our college has 2 grounds and also 2 campuses. The college atmosphere is so much calm and the trees will refresh one’s mind too. The seniors are friendly. There is no raging in the college. The faculty members are very friendly. And they communicate with us with so much regards. Our have techtrix (cultural competition), regalia (annual fest), GOT (annual sports), etc. There are very much amazing sessions occurred in our college that gives a very good mindset to us....     First of all, I chose studying at RCCIIT because it is a semi government college. Besides that, the fees of this college is lower that other colleges in West Bengal. When I was preparing for WBJEE when my teacher's daughter got placed in a good MNC called NRI FinTech from RCCIIT. So from that I got the motivation to get into this college.     Firstly the college has an enough space for student. There are 2 Campuses. One for B.Tech only. And the other for M.Tech, BCA, and MCA. So as a B.Tech student there is sufficient classrooms and computer Lab. The computer lab is well maintained and very useful. There are much and more places for playing and sports.
