Overall Rating
College is as good as any other tier 2/3 college. Fees is less that comparable universities like UPES/DIT but I feel it is still too much for the level of faculty and facilities and is not too value for money. I chose to go here because I had heard good words about this college from my friends. If I had to rate my experience at this college I would give it a score of 6.5/10.
 

Academics Rating
I will break the review into several parts for easier understanding: 1. Studies/Faculty level- Well, we all know in college studying is actually up to the student and that holds true here. Most of the teachers will teach to complete the syllabus and will gloss over smaller topics or provide PDFs for them. Some other teachers may teach the whole subject through PDFs which is not at all a good practice in my opinion.
 

Faculty Rating
Regarding the faculties I'd say go there if you are actually studious and can make do with moody/temperamental professors, since most of the professors/assistant professors here don't have any formal training for teaching people and may not use the best teaching methods. Many of the professors don't provide enough resources for students to self study and some just want them to do as they say and in doing that suppress individual critical thinking. However, all faculties are sufficiently qualified and have work experience in their respective fields.
 

Placement Rating
Regarding placements I'd say the college fairs pretty well. There have been many placements in the MAANG companies from here and the highest packages secured by students have gone up to ~₹80 lakhs. Still the average packages hovers around ₹6-10 which is not good but not bad either. Until 2023 students were also mass-recruited from here and I've heard that is going to stop from 2024, so I believe that the placements situation is going to become worse for average/below-average students.
 

Hostel Rating
I have not lived in one of the campus hostels myself but I have plenty of friends who do and from their anecdotes I can tell that the living situation in the hostels is pretty fine although I have heard many complaints about the taste of food in the hostel mess and then weekly repetitive nature of dishes served which becomes banal and unbearable after 2-3 months. There are many hostels with varying levels of fees in relation to the facilities offered and the furnishings and also the number of people staying in one room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus infrastructure is great in my opinion although a little more greenery/shade would definitely help during the summer months as the heat becomes unbearable. The amount of water coolers and the quality of water in them was not up to the mark until recently and also the state of the bus parking is not good at all. The parking generates a pseudo dust-storm during summer months and becomes a slushy nightmare during monsoon.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is nothing special as per my experience. There are many student clubs for different hobbies/interests but they are easy to join only during the time new freshers join after that it's not easy to get in. As for the functions/events that happen on campus, most of the time it feels like the students is forced to perform or do things as they don't look like they have any enthusiasm for the activities.

    So Graphic Era University is situated in Dehradun. It has 4 campuses which offer several courses to students for graduation. I am a B.Tech student in Graphic Era University and have taken admission in 2024 and this is my first semester here and I enjoyed this college very much. The campus is too beautiful and awesome.     Graphic era university, located in Dehradun is a great university for engineering and technical programs like B.Tech and BCA. I am currently a BCA student and am quite satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty and as well as the opportunities provided to the students by the university.     Personally speaking this university is quite good. Atmosphere here is quite pleasant. There is so much greenery and variety of flowers are seen as it is situated in Dehradun also called City Of Love. The placements here are quite good.     My yet experience of the college has been very nice. The college is very good it has good infrastructure with greenery all around the campus which makes you feel relaxed, stress free and active.
