Overall Rating
I am very glad to join in this college. You can also join in this college with your JEE rank. JEE mains in 2023 and I got 98.82 percentile in first phase. I appeared for JOSAA Rounds and CSAB also. I got 13921 ranks in JEE. Applying for special rounds I got this college. I chose this college. I chosen computer Science and Technology department here. If you get this college don't neglect this. This is my honest review about this Institute.
 

Academics Rating
After getting special rounds results I choose in this college and I came here with a lot of excitement to study in a greater NIT. Cause everybody not gets its chance to study here. I choose in a string computer Science and Technology. The basic requirement is 75% aggregate marks in respect to their boards. And above 90 percentile in JEE Mains. So study well for JEE mains exam, and secure a good rank and you will also get a nice place to enjoy like me.
 

Faculty Rating
Here you can get the best faculty compared to private colleges. The way of teaching of every lecturer in very kind manner. The explain everything. Separate faculty with respect to their respective departments. Good faculty for every branch. Every Professor interacts with their students. Here the faculty members have much more knowledge so they explain everything in a decent manner to the every student. The good thing is there is no partiality in teaching or in grading.
 

Placement Rating
As an NIT here we get best placements. Here for computer science people have 93% placements in good companies. The highest package here for a software engineer is 51 lakh per annum. I think it's the good placement. The average package is also very good it is about 20 lakh per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have residential facilities in our institute. As it is an old institute than IIT Kharagpur. They maintain the hostels neat. In our hostel there are 4 seating, with 4 tables, 4 chairs, and 4 almirahs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The whole campus infrastructure is good. There are many trees around us full of greenery. Nice air quality standard. They maintain everything so clean, they clean the grass week by week. Here the hostel infrastructure is somewhat average instead of that every other thing is nice. Each hostel has its own playground they arrange for Badminton, Cricket, etc. and for us here they have caroms and Table Tennis also.
 

Campus Rating
I think I would be so great with better job and whole life I have to spend it here. I'm little bit exited to have a better job here as I seen the records of placement opportunities here it is damn nice. Yes, they conduct many fests and many parties and more fun. Here you can get happiness along with your studies. I'm so happy to join here.

    IIEST is second oldest Engineering Institute in India. Alumni network is very strong and campus life is too good. Connectivity is also very good Howrah, Salimar and Sealdah stations are very near to the institute and airport is also less than 10 KM away. Research opportunities are too good and placements are also very nice.     IIEST shibpur (formerly known as Bengal Engineering College or BESU) comes under the tag of Institute of national importance. To get admission, you need to apply through JEE Mains AIR ranks. This institute provides all B.Tech, M.Tech and P.HD courses. It came at 46 positions in recent NIRF ranking.
