Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi - Review

Overall Rating
One of the major factor for which I choose Jamia milia islamiya is its fees and its nirf ranking which is 26th in terms of engineering Also one of the major reason to join Jamia Millia Islamia was its campus is in Delhi where I get quite good exposure. My JEE Main percentile was 97 and I get computer science in Jamia Millia Islamia. The ROI which you get here is also very impressive.
 

Academics Rating
To enroll into the B.Tech of Jamia Islamia the student should have minimum aggregate percentage of 55% in physics, chemistry, and math. The admission is based on JEE main percentile. The annual fee for B.Tech is very low which is around 16000 per year. The main reason for which I enroll in B.Tech was my keen interest in software and technology.
 

Faculty Rating
The teaching staff is well qualified and helping in nature. Almost all the teachers are Ph.D holders and research oriented. You can pass the exam only by going through the notes given by the teacher and assignments. Some of the teachers are also listed in world's top 2% scientist ranking. Other teachers are very cool in nature and some of them are very strict with academics.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University placement is also in the campus of engineering and technology. Major part from which our students got placed. Almost 70%-80% student got place within college placement. The highest Package for year 2023 is 59.91 LPA and average was 8 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are hostel facilities within the campus but also the hostel is very less. It is very rare to get hostel within first year. Once you get enrol in hostel you will get amazing hostel life. There is a cafeteria in the hostel and also with gym facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quiet large which is 250 acres lush green campus. The library is having a very good capability of 3000 people at a time. There is not a single library. The two major libraries are old library which is in sina block and new library which is Dr Zakir Hussain Library. The campus is having a big sports complex in which you can find a cricket stadium, football ground, volleyball court, and basketball court.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is good. There are various clubs like robotic club, dance club, drama club, music club, etc. The college is not much fest oriented. The major fest celebrated here is its Foundation Day. The classroom amenities are average. You can also participate in various tech competitions held in other universities.

    Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the finest and most reputed Institutes in India. Its NIRF rank is 3 that made it an obvious choice for students. I had spent a year at Jamia, and I can assure you that there is no other college like Jamia. It is culturally rich and open to everyone. There are some cons though like no big flashy fests, lack of adequate hostels, old buildings but I like them. But these cons are nothing in comparison to what it offers.... Read Full Review

    My overall experience is 10/10. Jamia University is not only a place to learn but a major part of the students’ growth. One should definitely be a part of this institute to outgrow themselves and get molded into a better version of them.
