Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology B.Tech Review By Himanshu Kumar

The college imagines and the college life is outstanding. The most attractive part of IIEST Shibpur is one of the oldest colleges in India so it has a large alumni network. Due to this large alumni network people from the every place and at every hard time it takes benefit from their alumni. Many of students take benefit from alumni when stuck in other countries or any big issues.

English college there is many degrees such as B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, and also Ph.D. All these degrees have many courses. In my B.Tech course there are more than 10 courses available now. Such as department of civil engineering, department of electrical engineering, department of computer science and engineering, department of information technology, department of mining engineering, department of metallurgy and material science, department of telecommunication engineering, and also department of aerospace engineering and applied mechanics. For each department there are different eligibility criteria best on JEE mains marks and if anyone wants to change their branch in second year they required the good CGPA. Main motive to enrol in any department from this college is to take placement.

Faculty of this college is very nice. All of them are highly educated and experienced. Many of them are researcher and their rank between top 100 in researcher list of world. Some faculty complete their B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D from this college and they got chance to teach in the same college. Teaching style is outstanding, no one can beat researcher teacher.

In this college there are other organisations which deal with the placement and their head is known as the dean of foreign affair and academy management. By the chance if some Student does not take part in placement due to their personal reason then dean help them to get placed.

Hostel and mess both provided by institute till final. Mess food in every IIT and NIT are good and in hostel there are 4 students live together in a single room and approx total student in one hostel is 250. There are total 16 hostels in college and 4 hostels for 1st year students. There is also hostel for Ph.D and M.Tech students.

IIEST Shibpur is one of the oldest colleges in India and their buildings are very old but most of buildings are renewed and newer. For each department there is a building for it and every facility is provided in them. Structure of building is very nice. Yes, there is amenities’ hall available in college.

Campus life is fantastic. Every month there is fests from different clubs. Total 16 clubs present in our college and each of them are responsible to participate in every fest to manage and take part in performance. Beside the fests, every time sports activities going on. And matches played between the hostel wise, departments wise, and between different colleges in our college ground. If you are in college then you do not bore. Every time you enjoy them and you do not imagine how your time passed. This is a good thing of this college.
