Complete Review of University of Calcutta

Overall Rating
I have been a first year student at University of Calcutta for B.Tech course. This University is good for students who are from economically weak background as this college has very less fees. This college provides a wonderful opportunity to students for internship and placements. If you are preparing for IIT JEE then you should attempt WBJEE exam through which this college grant admission.
 

Academics Rating
Talking about academics, This college has almost every major branches of engineering including a special branch known as Jute and Fiber Technology. To take admission in this college a student must have appeared in WBJEE exam and has secured good rank in it. To get CSE here you must score less than 800 rank in WBJEE.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members here are of great quality in terms of teaching. During your 1st year you'll encounter courageous professor who will inspire you to do great in your life. Professor here have good reach to some of the top foreign universities that will help you in getting scholarship to study their free of cost.
 

Placement Rating
The college has a Placement Cell which helps you in getting placed after your education in good companies.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facility is also good. You get accommodation in hostel at very low cost.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Campus here at Technology Campus Salt Lake is situated at a very good place with good atmosphere. Here Classroom is well equipped with all equipment like digital board. Classrooms are also well equipped with Air-Conditioner. This college has three campuses, one at salt lake, second at raja bazaar, and third at ballugunge.
 

Campus Rating
This college has some of brilliant minds. Everyone is involved in some activities. Someone is coding, some are in extracurricular activities, and some are good in sports. This college organise a technical fest which is open to all. The college organise an induction program in starting of the college which let student to get compatible with college.

    University of Calcutta is one of the top-notch universities of this country for sure. The student teacher ratio is 1:20.     I appeared for WBJEE in 2023 and got a rank of 7332. I opted for University of Calcutta and got admitted in instrumentation Engineering. My over all experience has been excellent. Campus (salt lake) is new and beautiful, classes are air-conditioned, etc. One should definitely take admission if he/she wants to pursue a B.Tech course without hefty fees.... Read Full Review

    Overall assessment of Calcutta University’s M.Sc course has been good. The academics here are also really good. The faculty members are always there to help and are very supportive guiding through the topics. They use multiple teaching techniques. Admissions are simple and the course fee is pocket-friendly.   • My Overall Journey at University of Calcutta
     

    Overall Rating
    The emphasis on lab skills as well as research is laudable in the M.Sc. Botany program at the University of Calcutta. The placement scenario is quite good as there are TCS, Wipro, Biocon, Pfizer, etc. who are ready to offer lucrative packages. The tuition fees are nominal, other than that there are merit-based scholarships for students.     First of all, it's one of the finest colleges for B.Tech in West Bengal. Its academic is not so tough, even average students will be able to enrol very easily. Faculties are very understanding and helpful. Internship start from 5th semester and almost 100% eligible candidates get placed. Hostel facility is very nice, there is no ragging as such, food is good enough. Infrastructure and campus life is alright. So, a choice for others.... Read Full Review
