New State Engineering College

Overall Rating
The institute is located in Nilokheri, Karnal. It is affiliated with Kurukshetra University (one of the oldest universities of the country!) It a new government institution made for the students interested in doing a bachelors degree in technology. To take admission in this institution, one has to fill HSTES form which gives the applicant a chance to go in every government college in the state. The college management is very helpful and caring.
 

Academics Rating
I am a student in B.Tech CSE. The eligibility criteria is that the student has to give JEE Mains and he has to be the resident of the state. I joined this course because of my interest in programming and it also helps to develop a sense of problem solving.
 

Faculty Rating
There are a number of faculties in every course. The teachers are very determined towards solving the students' doubts and are very helpful in any matter. One cannot be stressed about the studies because teachers had done a wonderful job in teaching them.
 

Placement Rating
As the institution is new so this year was the first ever placements that happened in place. According to the first time placements were quite decent to be honest. The companies visited were Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Byjus, etc. Average package was about Rs. 4 L.P.A.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is quite nice but a little small. There are 72 rooms in total. Boys and girls hostel are at a distance. The hostel fees per SEM is ₹6,000. The mess is good and provides healthy and tasty food. The security is good. A guard is present in the hostel in the day time and two at night.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a playground in front of the institute for the enjoyment of students. There are separate floors for every different year of students. Several other common spaces like library, canteen, common rooms etc.
 

Campus Rating
As the institute is new, several clubs are being made. Cultural fest is organized every year including freshers, farewell, etc. The campus life is absolutely amazing! The interaction with the seniors as they are really helpful and help in every possible matter.
