I am a student of 4th year and next year I will be passing out in the upcoming year. Through this 4 year journey I get a holistic view of the college with my eyes. If you want to get a job like FEO (Fishery Extension Officer) in west Bengal, you will get it after B.F.Sc and if you aim for higher education you will be provided with scholarship and the research opportunities are great. And definitely the scholarship is Central Govt. so you have to give a merit test. Other than that the 4th year educational tour to South Indian is one of the most fascinating times in our college life. You will enjoy as well as learn a lot of things on the go.

For this course you must pass the higher secondary exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. There are 2 ways to get into it, 1 is all India exam coordinated by ICAR and another way is HS marks (min 60%). In our year the cut-off for general students are 93.75%. There are total 44 seats and there are ICAR seats for outside students.

The course teachers are from outside West Bengal and their teaching quality is immensely good because everyone is coordinated with research projects and all. So not like lecture taking manner of class, it will be interactive and obviously interesting. We love the way we practice what we learn in the lab.

After B.F.Sc degree you are eligible for Fishery Extension Officer (FEO), salary approx. 42k and also private placements are also there and you get enough from that.

Yes, we have 3 hostels in our college. One for UG boys, one for PG boys, and one for PG and UG girls . Hostel facilities are decent but as most of the students are hostellers you will definitely enjoy the hostel life like never before.

The infrastructure for the academics are very good, every department has their own labs with different kinds of research. You will have your class maximum time on projector board and also the 4th year training program make you a ready student for market so it's a great place to start your career because it will make you industry ready.

We have one annual sports, one fest, and lots of indoor sports in the college. We have a big play ground and lots of pond where you will practice thee fishing and sometimes boat ride too. There are badminton, volleyball, table tennis, gymnasium, football, and cricket ground. For girls there are separate grounds as well.
