Life at Lingayas Institute of Management and Technology, Vijayawada

Overall Rating
LIMAT holds a positive overall response. Our college has strong academic programs and vibrant campus life. However, the ones who are willing to join this college must consider fee and students should explore financial aid options. Fee is around 35k per year if the person is joined through AP EAMCET. If a person is willing to join through management, they have to pay triple the original fee.
 

Academics Rating
The academics have a positive outlook. The course curriculum especially CSE meeds industry demands. I pursued CSE in LIMAT.I got free seat through AP EAMCET so I will pay just 35k per year excluding exam fee and all other. I took this course based on my passion and interest, remembering my career goals and also to improve highly industry related skills.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty in LIMAT has a Ph.D in their respective subjects. Faculty is having good orientation skills. The faculty in other branches other than CSE has good knowledge in their core and stuff. Mechanical faculty is well professional. There is a good student-faculty ratio in EEE. Some of the disadvantages include lack of industrial visits, infrastructure, and placements.
 

Placement Rating
Many students with scores like 9/10 and 10/10 are given permission to attend some programs. Recruiters are Cognizant, IBM, Wipro, Acccenture, etc. This college is somewhat bad in placements and off campus drives. Placements vary based on individual efforts, skills etc.Highest package may be 8 LPA, lowest may be 2.5LPA, average package may be 4.5LPA.Training programs for placements are not satisfactory.
 

Hostel Rating
Institute has separate girls and boys hostel on campus with indoor and outdoor sports facilities including GYM. Hostel mess will be sometimes good and sometimes worse than ever. Wi-Fi is available during the hostel hours. The hostel has sick rooms and medical facilities available. The external expenses for the hostel are in the range of 2000-4000 excluding hostel fees. Hostel fee is between 45k-50k per annum.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is good in our college. We have computer labs, a library, and classrooms. Labs are not that much good as we expected as well. Keyboards broken, low performance computers are also available. No drinking water facility in the college except in the ground floor. Classrooms are also not properly remodelled and not that good.
 

Campus Rating
This campus offers waste management system as well. Participation in clubs is a vibrant part of campus life. Our campus provides many clubs for sharing hobbies, interests or careers outside the curriculum. There are many technical clubs for conducting coding exams and other internal competitions. We celebrate good number of fests include music, dance, competitions and food stalls.

    LIMAT is a very good place for value added education. The college provides placements about 40% of the people with an average package. In times of recession, LIMAT gives placements and 40% of all IT branches were placed. The environment for studying is good with a good library, high computing labs and comfortable classrooms....
