Review of University of Lucknow, Lucknow

Overall Rating
Firstly it is NAAC A++ Accredited College in Uttar Pradesh which holds a value itself. I wanted to peruse BA.LL.B (Hons.), and further wanted to explore the options of judiciary or other government exams, the curriculum is pretty much suited for judiciary aspirants and the results of college in judiciary examination is very good. It is a traditional university and thus there is no corporate culture but if you want to further take up judiciary or litigation as your career option, you can choose Lucknow University.
 

Academics Rating
BA.LL.B (Hons.) is a 5 years course, including 10 semesters in total of 5years. The admission process is via entrance exam which is easy to moderate. The eligibility is you must pass intermediate with at least 45% if you are of unreserved category. I was interested in legal subjects and reading since 11th, thus I was clear about pursuing Law. You can opt law as it has wide career opportunities in today's world.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very knowledgeable, the teachers always help the students in learning the aspects of law, they teach according to the syllabus which is very clear and apt. They are highly qualified; most of them have even given interviews for judiciary. We have guest faculties as well as permanent faculties. Thus, the staff is very promising and cooperation is the key here.
 

Placement Rating
Lucknow University in general has a Placement Cell for other courses, but if we talk specifically about law, we don't have a Placement Cell. Here, most of the students want to pursue Judiciary or litigation, and those who want to go to corporate has to work hard on their own means, but the college is always supportive for internships and granting NOC. Even the teachers and seniors are quite helpful in searching for internships as well as other activities.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have a girls as well as boys hostel especially for Law. Life in hostel is great. It is affordable here and infrastructure is also very good. Rooms are spacious for three students. We have a mess inside hostels where meals are provided for three times and many activities happen in hostel, like events in various festivals and career counseling sessions.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have infrastructure which is old and more like of a traditional college. The environment is very clean and green. We have three floors and classes are spacious. We have two Library having lots of books and access is given to students. We have administrative block and jury’s hall for recreational activities or competitions. We have green gym in campus, two canteens and peace.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was pretty much good. We have enjoyed our college life along with getting the right education. We have various committees here, like legal aid cell, moot court committee, ADR Cell where competitions happen in every month. There is a cultural committee where once in a year fest happens known as 'Sanskriti Surbhi'. The thing with crowd is, most of the students are from Uttar Pradesh only, so there is no much exposure or diversity. And Infrastructure could be much better. Otherwise it is good.

    No doubt University of Lucknow is a prestigious institution with utmost historical significance of more than 100 years. The best thing about this place is its amazing, well experienced and supportive faculty who always encourages you and guides you. Educational facilities here are also quite beneficial. A well-equipped cyber library, a reading hall with numerous magazines and books by different authors, and access to civil services hall give students great environment and opportunities to study....   • My life at University of Lucknow
     

    Overall Rating
    The historical significance and the evergreen glory of more than 100 years is the essence of this university. I decided to get into this university because it is in my city. The greenery all around and beautiful campus attracts a lot of students. The famous infrastructure Tagore Library also catches student’s attention with numerous facilities, books, magazines and news journals.     My overall experience in the University has been very good till now. I chose this particular university as this the finest University in Uttar Pradesh and am also NAAC+ accredited which makes it more trustable.     University of Lucknow is situated near the banks of river Gomti and is one of the most beautiful and old institutes in the state, which is also a heritage of Lucknow. University currently has 2 campuses, one in Badshahganj near Hazratganj and the second one in Jankipuram, Lucknow.
